Break out the drumset....all hail.....LOL....I don't go there much anymore myself...Nobody is worthy of an a$$ kissing...

Natch - hey, your avatar is way-cool, looks like that LEE1 that was restored and shown nationally in 2006 by Travis Bell, a 1968 Charger 383 (can you tell I was a shade-tree high school mechanic in 1970?). I lusted after and wound up building one in 1975 out of parts of a 1968 383 RT and a rear-end from a 1969 Charger, painted it bright orange, and then later the same year wimped out and converted it to SuperBird rear wing and soft-nose.

Didja ever hear of a Christian rock band Maranatha in 1973-1975, or "Truth" from Mobile Alabama? Cut maybe eight records. Those were me playing bass for awhile... :o

My baby, born March 1979. By all means, count me in!!!

As a matter of fact, yes I think I even have a Maranatha record from that time around somewhere...
I had a 68 charger as well and sold it to pay some bills earlier this year. LEE1 is restored but we will have to talk offline about that. I have been working on cars as long as I have had Rickenbackers...

A guitarist friend of mine just returned my 1982 Ruby 4001.... and it has a BadAss bridge, so I wouldn't want to offend anyone by posting pictures. It's a bit of a mystery why some people find mods so troubling. IMO, it's a tool, not a collector's item..... and if mods make it a better tool, that's great!

Please please. Post away:hyper:

Yep, put pics up....Mine is modified too with a Bada$$ 1 but i got it that way and it works a lot better and sounds a lot better than some of the previous Ric basses that I have had!!!! It is a tool.....we use them to work...if you collect them, great....if you just play them, that's great too...

Did someone say Ruby? 1988 fretless:

boo modified :(

Ouch! The boo stings a bit, but I'm a man. I can hack it!! :cool:Anyway, I did purchase a 70's era bridge/tailpiece with full intentions of putting it back to original. However, I take lessons from a guy named Jim Kurzdorfer(you may have heard of him, think Spyro Gyra) and he said "leave it alone". He said the Badass II was a much better bridge and really improved the instrument. I agree!! He also pointed out that the mod was very professionally done, and that he had one that got the very same treatment.

yeah i must say it's one of the nicer mods i've seen. I just prefer the original look. Sure, maybe the badass is better...but i like my tone the way it is :]
