Been lurking TalkBass for months. I finally registered today.
Here are mine.

The first one here is a 4003 that I have, made in 2007, and it is the newer (darker) MID:

The older color, as shown in this circa-1995 350v63 MID (yes I also own some of those funny skinny-six string geetars! ), is a much lighter and more "metallic" blue:

Hi, zbigniew. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, Midnight Blue. Mine is a March '08. I've tried many times to capture the coolness of the color, but here is the closest I could get. You can see how light and angle can affect its appearance. From the "sparkly" blue on the bottom left, to almost JetGlo-ish on the right.

Thanks for the kind words!

yeah MD blue is such a nice color. I still love blueburst though :]

Me too! (BTW, that is not a scratch on the back, it is instead a reflection of the edge-banding on the case itself)

There is also a fretted 4003 BBR around here too, will see if I can find it and make some photos of it as well....

I just checked the Rickenbacker page ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]), and saw that Blueburst, and other Colors of the Year came out during the 10 years that I stopped playing.
Dammit!
Anyway, here's more blue Ric goodness.

p.s. Can I have a number?

Thanks for the reply mr. Ganoosh :) I wasn't aware of this new Midnight blue color - it's pretty cool. The white S-type bass is though my favorite of the three in the picture, pretty amazing :hyper:

If you have time I would like to see more pictures of that one - and probably I'm not the only one who likes that.

My well-used Aug '81 4001S with original tolex HSC. Bought it brand new in '82 for around $600-ish (don't remember the store). I "settled" for this one because it was the only Rickenbacker they had (I REALLY wanted a MapleGlo).

All-original, except for the tailpiece. Before the purists get huffy, the first pic shows why I swapped the RIC tailpiece for a Hipshot. Yes, I kept the original, but I don't plan on parting with my first real bass.
