That is one of the few basses that I regret selling ... and I have sold dozens ...
Not me, I couldn't play those damn things, and I had 3 of them at one time. Of course I am not as cleaver as you are Jeff, and didn't think to mod the tail peice to widen the string splay. I would like to try a rath'ed s5 to see if I COULD play it though. Oh btw, whats the story on that mocha-glo s5 you have? That is a looker

Damm Hey So i HEar you are selling that nice Montezuma Brown Rickenbacker bass eh?? because im down to putting money for it
they made a 5 string for a couple years, and i am damn determined to find one someday. they show up on ebay every now and then, but i never have the kind of scratch they are asking for. as a ric fan and a 5+ string only player, these are a dream come true.

I had a blackstar, always wanted a shadow but not for they have been going for the last 3 years!

It's not a Ric, it's a Schecter 004. And it actually sounds better than the Ric, but the Ric just feels, different, like holding on to the woman you love, if you know that feeling
They have mostly been crazy, but you can still got lucky. I got my shadow nearly a year ago for about what you'd expect to pay for a standard 4001/4003. It wasn't all-original, but it is an awesome player, and the mods are reversible when I get around to it.
