2000!? haggle those samash mofos![]()
Yea, 1949.99 plus tax so yea $2000. I can't find a new one cheaper than that so I'll just have to get it. They also have a 1979 fireglo there in almost mint condition for the same price.

Yea, i've tried to talk to them about price but they said because Ricks are so scarce in their chain they can't discount Ricks at all.
Ask for a manager![]()
I did that when I was looking for mine and was told that the price was set by Rickenbacker and they weren't allowed to lower it.
Lol then bring them to a computer and show them you can get one for 1800$ on any authorized dealer.
I'm with you Jaymi. I am hoping the factory continues to look at inlay material in the hopes of finding material more close to any of the poured inlays. CB would be most appreciated.I think the full width inlays are a nice touch but they are certainly not as quality as they used to be!!!! I guess I am not into the looks of it that much...now if they had checkerboard binding... :\
Man, talk to Chris at Pick of the Ricks.I went into Sam Ash thurs. with my guitarist and I walked to the bass section just to poke around. There were two guys messing around with some bass I didn't see and the salesman said do I need any help. So I threw the question of them all out, I said, "Do you guys have any Rickenbackers"?...and the two guys playing around on the bass actually had the Rick in there hand! I started to glow as they handed it to me and told me to go on an knock myself out! I sat down and my guitarist came over and said "HOLY SH#$ thats a Rickenbacker"! I was so over joyed that I could barely pluck a string but once I got on it I was sold. I've never felt craftsmanship at that level and I own a new 2008 EBMM Sterling and I love it but this thing is a new kinda monster. So my mission for the next week is to get up $2000 for it because they are pretty scarce right now. I have $500 so far and I have the guy holding it until Monday...wish me luck guys. I will get it!![]()
Pat, you do now realize that was a fabrication?I did that when I was looking for mine and was told that the price was set by Rickenbacker and they weren't allowed to lower it.
Help a Ric newbie Please! How do I take off that p/up cover??
