I posted all ready in this thread, but I thought I'd repost REAL pics now that it's actually in my hands - ebay pics don't count imho!

hiho, yes the hipshot was a good move.I am very happy with it.
The sound remains a ricky but with a more even sound across the strings.
I was impressed with the comfort of playing down at the bridge without those grub screws getting in the way.The ability to get a really low action and being able to move the saddles to get the strings in the center of the pole pieces. They are very easy to fit and all the holes lined up,simple no fuss.
I have heard that some people have had problems with the saddles moving to the side but I play hard and they have not moved.
Well I,m looking forward to my black scratchy will post piccies when it is fitted.

4001CS, think i just died a little.

Yes, it´s number 603. I bought this bass 1997 for less money. At this time nobody wanted an expensive Rickenbacker like the CS. The Seller was very happy, finally someone bought this bass:D.
I guess, you won´t find many of them in Germany.
It´s the best sounding Rickenbacker of my collection.
I think the alnico(?) pickups make the difference.

Definitely the best Rick ever made.
