i currently own 2 basses,a white 74 4000 set-neck,and an '04 4004cii maplglo. i love 'em both. over the years,i have owned and sold a 68 4000,75 4001,maple 4005 and an 83 4002.

I love my Ric, but I wanted to get another bass for some additional/different sound possibilities. Didn't want 'only' a P-bass, didn't want a Jazz, so I was thinking of trying to find a good deal on either an Aerodyne with a P/J setup or a Stu Hamm Urge-II. Started reading about G&L's and found that they're pretty highly regarded and supposedly tonal chameleons.It's an interesting combo. You can cover a lot of bases with those two basses.
