The "SCORE!" thread

I have lucked out

started with pickin up a mint condition Bergantino NV215 for 500 bucks, and a Moog Low Pass Filter MINT for 100......So 600 total for that pickup

then picked up a NV610- for another 500....little roadwear but nothing more then cosmetic.....

Recently scored a Mesa 400+ in a Mesa SUS4 shock rack, with about 30 extra power tubes......for 1000

so that puts my rig of a Mes400+ shockmounted on top of an NV610/NV215 stack, with a Low Pass Filter for 2100 bucks.

You're welcome. ;)

Lessee...

I have a 73 Silverface Twin that came free from the guy I used to work for. I couldn't get him to gift me any of his guitars though...62 Tele, 60's Strat, 70's Ric 12 string or any of the gibsons.

I picked up a beautiful 1965 Vibrochamp on eBay a few years ago for 300 Shipped. Only to find that the only thing that wasn't stock was the mullard and RCA blackplates that were in it.

My first 'real' bass amp was a sparkle blue tuck and roll Kustom 200 with a black tuck and roll 3x15 cabinet. I bought it for $150.

Oh, and the previously mentioned Mesa 400+ in suspension rack cost me 800...the extra 200 that Schmittuml paid was the cost of the additional tubes I bought for it...passing on the good TB karma!

No pics, no ridiculously stupid deal.

If only I could take pics... I traded that head to Al Schnier from Moe. for a Mesa Boogie MKIIC+. That Boogie was the best amp I have ever heard, and I used it quite a bit with my old band, Dead Hand System. I loaned it out to a friend for a while, and then Katrina hit... My friend got 10 feet of water in his house, and that MKII was underwater for about 3 weeks. When he finally got back into his house after the floods had subsided, he brought it out of the house, and in a daze left it sitting in the front yard. Ugh... I miss that thing.

The only way I can purchase bass gear is if it is an absolute steal :P hence everything I got at a great price. I've picked up 2 trace elliot 1518's one 200watt and one 300watt for AU$130 and AU$275 respectively. Also i got my brand new Warwick Profet 5.1 for AU$550 with speaker cable thrown in ;)
