This thread is dedicated to "AMP Scores" recent or past. I want to hear your unbelievable "Scores" on ebay, classifieds, yard sales, swap meets etc... and give us an chance to say nice score you lucky bastard!

I's start with my recent scores:

Demeter HBP-1 Preamp- ebay $312 shipped

Mesa Boogie M-190 power amp with 6 space rack and Furman power strip- ebay $313 shipped

Eden 210XLT and Eden 212XLT, for $800 total, in SHINY MINT condition.

My brother got a Rocktron Guitar Silencer for free, cuz the store was gonna throw it away as broken. I reheated some solders to the control knobs, and now it's his most important piece in his rig. Only problem it has is one burnt out LED, which he doesn't give a crap about, cuz it sounds and functions flawlessly!

$850 for a SVT-CL and 2 Ampeg 410he's.

Sold the 2 cabs for $300 ea., bought 410hlf for $350.

So, $600 for SVT-CL & 410hlf.

Sold CL & HLF for $1200.

Bought SVT-II (w/ new tubes) for $800. Bought Schroeder 21012 for $350.($1150)

So, in the end $550 for SVT-II and Schroeder 21012.

Anybody got a better $550 rig?

Acme B4 at GC for $98 - I replaced the bulb in the tweeter/mid driver circuit and it works like a champ.

BTW, This has turned out to be one of my fav cabs.

I paid $450 for my '76 SVT head in 1984.

Since then I've earned well over 200K gigging with it, and it's worth somewhere between $1000 - $1200.

Pretty good return on investment, says I.

I have one from the past and one form the present.

Past: (around '89) -- MIJ Fender P-Bass, Magnavox era Ampeg V4 head, and early 70's Ampeg V4B folded horn 2x15 cab, all for $500.

Present: (a few weeks ago) -- SWR Workingman's 10 for $134.

In between I pretty much overpaid for everything

How about Furman Power conditioner, Ampeg SVP-Pro, Crown XLS 602, all top of the line monster cables, and rack case -$400

I thought that was pretty good considering you could probably sell the power amp and the pre amp for $400 each.

My scores so far:

Gallien-Krueger 2001RB - this hulk of a GK amp is normally $1500+ retail. I got it used (and in excellent condition) for a mere $750 shipped!

Gallien-Krueger Neo 212 - Normally $650 (or less if you order from RMC Audio). Got mine in perfect condition from eBay for only $420 shipped!

Overall, I'd say the GK head was the only true score, but it was nice to get a mint-condition cab for a low price, too. My only regret is that this rig is a bit TOO loud for an apartment...
