I think a Bigsby or some kind of trapeze vibrato would look cool with that...I don't really care for the natural finish though (ask my wife, I just stained a kitchen table and coffee table that we got for free because the natural finish didn't match our cabinets...made it a nice deep cherry). I also don't think the Rick-burst looks good as a six string bass...I'm thinking that the Harm VI needs stains like some of the Intrepids.

I really hope that Kurt sells the Agile VIs...I'd really like to see how this line gets developed further (personally I'd like to see it go to the custom shop and let people add/substract features and colors to satisfy their GAS...I know I would...because I really need 3 six string basses...).

It's probably not a roller bridge, being that there is no vibrato tailpice... But with an aftermarket Bigsby, you'll want one or else you'll be out of tune when you use the vibrato and you'll eventually break strings on the saddles.

But I like the natural, it's like my Hondo's mapleglo finish. Sure, I would rather it was a nice color like jetglo or white or something, but I don't mind that natural finish.

Not my style exactly and I had no idea that he was making this (but I did suggest a semi hollow bass VI to him at one point) too, I still prefer the looks of the Argus Toast myself.

The stop tail-piece + a 3 & 3 headstock = NO problem finding & fitting lighter E 1st & B strings for easier note bending! :bassist:

The 20w-30w-42w-54w-74w-90w (6 String Bass Guitar Slinkys #2837 - E Tuning) made for the Music Man Silhouette Bass Guitar should fit and be better overall than the included 24 34 44 56 72 84 D'Addario XL156 set.

As well, the shorter string after-lengths and customizable break angle via the height-adjustable stop tail-piece should help to keep the strings on their saddles during vigorous play while backing a thrashing flattop or two.

Way to go Kurt! Way to go Agile! :)

Hopefully the instrument can be properly intonated with the slightly larger gauge E – the low E saddle in the pic is clearly maxed out as far as backward movement goes.

For those who buy one of the new Agile VI's equipped with 'toaster' pickups.

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed] seem to be the only (what appear to be) same-sized replacement pickups available, and this is what must be done to give them any hum-canceling capability at all. :eyebrow:

Hopefully a pricey pickup transplant for the new Agile VI's will only be a chosen option--not a necessity stemming from a lack of RWRP...

The three instruments I've purchased from Rondo (One SX, two Brice) were NOT set up and intonated properly from the factory. I think Lunarpollen has a very good point. There is a good chance the basses in the pictures haven't been intonated. So going by the location of the E saddle in the picture is pretty much useless.

Kurt is going to get an earfull tomorrow...when I got home I figured out that it was strung with light baritone strings!!!! And I'm pretty sure that the toasters are not single coils....this guitar is humless even with distortion.

But I am still messing with it because...the Fender VI strings fit....
