this was my concern with the bridge, it's lifted up some.

You can paint the bridge as I did on my 905, looks awesome. Add some new foam or springs inside the pup cavity,(also done on my 905, ;) )

SR500s have Bartolini pickups which are considered high end. But, it's like anything else - some love 'em and some don't. I like the lows on Barts but the treble frequency is very high and sizzly. This is popular in jazz but rockers prefer the treble frequency lower which still gives definition but is meatier sounding. I've yet to find a good replacement pickup that accomplishes this although some recommend the Ibanez CAPs pickups used in less expensive models.

I'm not sure the pups are Barts or not. The pup covers
have "Ibanez" embossed on them. This bass is 15 years old and I
have no idea what pups they were using back then.

it should not. You can try loosening the strings and tightening the bridge screws but that actually looks bent?Just take it to your local iron smith and have him hammer it out.... :hiding:

If it is truly bent and it bothers you or is non functional you can replace it for probably not too much money. Me personally I would take it off, see if it is bent, fix if needed and do the Xhawk paint mod.

I could swear that was the SR475TGY just like I just sold for $350 shipped. $300 is borderline cheap. They are VERY nice basses.;) I really think that guy has his numbers wrong. It's also a relist.
(Oh, my sale included a sweet case also)

AND, funny, his serial# ends just about 13 numbers away of my old one, yea, 475GTY for sure. I'd put money on it.

Probably one of those ads that pops up over and over again. Definitely overpriced and thanks for Id'ing. I might gas for it if it was a four string, don't play fives much anymore.

I'll have to look into that and figure it out.

I went and bought some thick weather strip foam for my pickups. Also grabbed some cheapo d'adario strings. Anyone know of I have to fix the intonation after lowering strings at the saddle?

The guitar repair guy said my bridge didn't look warped, he said it's probably because of the contour of the wood. The bridge itself is the older flat one.

You should check again. Both the string change and lowering the saddles could affect intonation.
