As for now, they as just ''examples'' of what Ibanez might bring to the market. Same thing what they did for the Grooveline, BTB Terra Firma and some others. It wouldn't surprise me if some of them do get on the market and some don't.

I haven't tried one either, but would love to know the difference in tone vs the Bart system, and I have a substantial amount of GAS directed at the new SR1400 in ocean blue.
Long time, no see guys.... I actually have been playing bass as opposed to talking about it all the time.
I need a new amp. The old Rumble 75 I had wasn't getting it done. Can you guys recommend an amp in the $250 to $300 range that will match up well with my SR1200? It's just going to be used for some bedroom practice. I like a mellow, thumpy, jazzy sound. However, I recently played an Orange 50w that I liked a lot. Any ideas?
I know there is an amp forum here, but I don't trust those non-Ibanez playing heretics. I'd rather ask you guys.

Yes I know it's $350 but well worth the time and effort to get the extra bucks together. IMHO You'll be much happier for years to come. Great power, tone you're asking for, di out, lightweight and the ability to expand with powered extension cabs makes it a great choice. (I own the MB112 and my only regret was waiting so long to buy it.)

In a funny old turn of events, I had to cancel the SR370 that I'd put aside (a pet got ill and passed away, and I had vet bills to pay, meaning I couldn't pay off the bass in the required four weeks - got a credit note for my deposit).
But, in another turn of events, I had, months ago, asked the guy that bought my SR600 (top right in the picture) if he fancied selling it back to me. Didn't hear from him for a while as he didn't see my message, but he's come back to me and we're in the process of sorting it out now - vet bills are paid and I've managed to scrape enough cash together for it.
So, I'm pleased to say that the lovely SR600 that I owned from brand new is coming back to me

Here she is! Looking lovely and sounding great. Still got a good setup, but is strung with steel rounds at the moment which I'm not a huge fan of, plus these particular ones are like bridge cables. I prefer nickel rounds... suggestions?

Great looking bass!! I have the same but with Walnut stain. I really like Dean Markley Helix strings on it, I use both the steels and the nickels (lights .045-.100) on this bass and they work well for me.

Interesting, I never heard of Dean Markley strings but will look them up. It's weird that they're called lights in those gauges, normally that's on the higher side of medium. Are they round core?

Not sure but I think they are hex core. They do feel balanced in that gauge so I don't feel like I have to work the D string as much. DR Hi Beams are more pliable and would be my second choice on this bass.

I've also got one in walnut stain, and just love it - it's so light. I use Prosteels on all my Ibby basses ... I just think SS rounds bring out the true Ibanez sound in all it's glory.
Agreed on both accounts. The SS strings truly bring out the full spectrum of these basses.
I have been looking at everything I can find online about this one and I like what I am seeing. Looks like it is going to come down to this one and the Rumble 100. Both seem to me that they would match up well with my SR1200. Right now Sweetwater has 24 months same as cash on the GK. No deals on the Rumble at the moment. I am going to keep a watch on the Black Friday deals and pull the trigger then.
When I say it was made to suit a high C string, I mean after I initially purchased this used many many years ago, I came home and attempted to put new strings I had just purchased for my other 5 string which had a low B. The low B string won't even fit through the bridge hence I assume the bass was produced that way.
a little more research did gather that this was made in 1994 based on it being all maple including the back. gold hardware was only used the first 2 years, and round fret markers and from what I've read in 1995 they were made to be oval.
I still remember the day I bought it, it was a fantastic playing bass and I knew I had to have it, but I also knew there was something different about it but couldn't put my finger on it. That is until I got home and tried to put a new b string on it and it wouldn't fit. I was a little bummed and took it to a shop to inquire about modifying it so I could use a low B. Fortunately they talked me out of it and I came to found I like the high c setup much more useful then the low B for my purposes. Was a fantastic bass the was used extensively at many gigs.
