The Ibanez 2014 Electric Basses Instruction Manual--the 2015 manual is not available online--says their 4-string basses come with 0.045, 0.065, 0.085, 0.105. Having changed the strings on my SR500, that seems to be correct for that instrument. You can see the manual here:

10 years ago I sold my Corvette 5 string, then bought a SR505. IIRC the string spacing is nearly identical between the two, but the SR has a slimmer neck profile (front to back) and smaller headstock. Overall the SR neck was more comfortable to play, especially on long gigs. The SR was much lighter and balanced better on a strap with none of the neck dive I experienced with the Warwick, which also contributes to being more comfortable to play all night. I also love the tone of the stock SR pups/pre. This was one "swap" I've never regretted. YMMV

This is my custom SR600 it has 2 massive, monster, Music Man MM style double humbuckers, with the Carvin 18v active/passive ICON 505S 3-Band Bass preamp. 6 knobs, one push/pull active/passive volume, one blend, stacked Bass/treble boost/cut knobs and stacked mid boost/cut & mid freq select sweep knobs. And it sounds big, fat, huge, warm, smooth, clangy and punchy all at the same time. It really is one hell of a Bass now. I'll show some more pics, Right now I have stainless steel round wound Bass strings on it, gauges 65.85.105.130. Tuned B E A D and also dropped down to A D G C sometimes for a lot of different music I jam. And drop D and standard C tuning. All with the same strings and it still plays awesome with great intonation and action I like on the low side.

I played the natural finish SR655 today. It was nice but not as light as I was hoping it would be. I really liked the size of the body. It's a beautiful bass. The neck felt really good too. The string spacing was tight but it's probably something I could get used to again.

Now for the bad: I discovered I have no use for the active electronic controls and I disliked fiddling with them. I know the bass has a passive-only mode, but I dislike having extra knobs on a bass with no intention of using them. If they ever make a light, 5-string passive PJ Soundgear with pickup blend controls, I'd probably get it.

This is the downside of being so picky :(

Hold down the 1st and last (24th) fret simultaneously, and check the clearance under the G & E -or- B if it's a 5er. I use my little finger on the 24th while reaching up with my thumb, and tap down around the 8th fret to check the clearance. I use 2 regular business cards as a gauge.
