If this one is an Ibanez SR 500 B BAT, please tell me that it is still available. Is it a standard finish or is it a Guitar Center Exclusive?

On the SR 500 PBBBF that I had, it was only a Guitar Center exclusive model. The reason why I thought the PBBBF stood for Poplar Burl Brown Burst Finish was because that how Guitar Center had the bass tagged. But, now I'm glad I know the actual name.

What does the B BAT stand for? I'm assuming blue is one of the B's. That bass is absolutely sick though. I'm now going to have to get 2 more modern SR 500's. My wife is going to kill me!

Love them both, but find the Nordy's to be a bit noisy on the 1200

If you're doing the numbers thing I'd like one please.

Ok so I am not sure they have the same Preamp in them . They both have the 3 position mid selector But the BTB does not have the active/passive switch. Anyway I just Played them through the same amp and cab and with the preamp controls at the center detents vol at max and blend in the middle. To my ear the SRMS was a touch darker but has Better growl Not that it is dark sounding but maybe Thicker is a better description. The BTB845SC was a bit more articulate but it does not growl like She SRMS . They both sound great but different . And they were both wearing GHS Balanced Nickel strings . The pickup height may not be exactly the same either so if I get a minute sometime I will set them both the same and do it again.
