They go pretty cheap used. I got this one at a local music store for $350 with the hard case, straplocks and a new set of strings.
has some scratches on the body but the neck and electronics are perfect.
That's cool. I found a few used Ibanez sr505 basses on ebay. If their still around, I would definitely save my cash on buying one. if not, then I would save my money on a new sr505 or the Ibanez sr255(that is if I'm on a tight budget). I'll admit that I'm curious about that bass not only because it's affordable, but it has a nato body. nato is a wood type that's related to mahogany.

Simple...post what Ibanez bass you currently play and tell them that you would like to join the soundgear club. The Danimal would be more than glad to give you a number.

hey there Ibanez/soundgear players. My local CL has a SG405- fiver listed for $375. is this a good deal? assuming everything works and cosmetically ok. I play Jazz and Jazz fretless 4 strings and don't know much about these basses. I'm looking to add a fiver to the arsenal without breaking the bank but I don't need a $400 wall flower either. any of you with "hands on" this axe?

Can I join I have a 300 DX looking for another one I think. I really enjoy the p/j combination, just debating on whether a 2nd one or a pup upgrade would be the wiser move.
Just added another SG to my arsenal! I am now a proud owner of the SR500! My SRX390 is no longer alone!
That's pretty cool that you have the best of both worlds of Ibanez soundgear basses. I use to own an Ibanez srx595. it was a pretty cool sounding bass. luckily I found one on ebay. if it's still there, I would purchase it.

The SR500 sounds very clean through the PF-350 with the 2x10 cab alone, add the 115 and I get a tone which I can only describe as "full and deep, but clean". I will be getting the PF-115 cab soon and I think I'll give the GK 115 to my nephew for his Double Bass. The SR405 is a thumpy little "B", She is not nearly as sophisticated as her rich, uppity cousin that lives in the 'burbs. She loves Stevie Wonder!, (the SR 405 that is), It really helps to have the low "B". In all honesty though, I've only been playing bass for about 4 months, I'm a guitar convert who realized that I "feel" music in a different way than most guitar players and I often find myself plucking basslines on my lester.
