I figured most of that out (although ZW = zebrawood had me stumped). What I don't get is that in general a higher number means a better model EXCEPT it seems like the older models had disproportionately higher numbers to the equivalent newer ones. So an old 900 might not be as good as a new 700. I wish all this was written down somewhere.
Righteous Thunderer - I've got a 755 just like yours and love it. Only difference might be that I tuned mine EADGC. It has the best neck I have ever played - crazy low action and no buzzes.
I agree with you for sure on the numbering system, it'd be nice if there was a guide or something. Regarding the SR755, I'm right there with you on the neck, although I had it set up SUPER low back in the winter, and it's starting to buzz a little with the hot desert temperatures so I need to do it again. I think this time I'm going to try it myself. I also left it BEADG, I use the low B more than I do a C (which is why I sold my SR506).
