I'm seriously considering going full nerd and putting this star trek launcher on my phone.

I've spent 4 dollars on dumber things.

I had a PC desktop called LCARS several years ago. Worked OK until I had to reformat, and lost it. By then, XP had come out and I couldn't find a compatible version.
I got it and attempted to customize it. There's too much content on any one screen and the letters are tiny. No good for a phone but I'd put it on an Android tablet if I had one. Apparently the Google play store gives refunds. I had no idea.

So I love that we have the Orville, (non-trek franchise) and Discovery (trek franchise; significantly different in flavor to predecessors) to give us two very different takes on the franchise. There's so many things you can do with these concepts, I wish more people would do them.

I caught a couple of episodes of The Orville the otehr day--I think I'll be watching more--fun show-I'll have to check for the ones I missed as well...

I also watched the first Star Trek pilot--the Cage--as a standalone episode, not as part of the Menagerie.
I've seen it before, but it's been years.
It stands up well storywise, although some things are dated--so what--the characters & story were very well done.
Not quite as good as TOS at its best--but certainly a good watch.

You can really tell that The Orville was created by people who love, love, love Star Trek. The look, the feel, and the sounds of the series are just so spot on. It’s not quite a parody; but it’s definitely an homage in a lot of ways.
