Not Nelix, Tuvix. A unique individual that begged for his life before Janeway murdered him.To confess - I was rooting for Nelix's demise halfway through season 2. And (while I cannot cite specifics) I was more than happy to see the "Prime Directive" violated in the pursuit of actual benefit to developing civilizations. Although I am still somewhat ambivalent on the insane amount of time-travel/alternate timeline episodes that seemed to be "resolved" with a kind of hand-waving I had not
seen in other Star Trek series.
The prime directive thing is more complicated.
