Have watched about 5 episodes of Discovery and I like it. 'Interesting' storylines and the cast is good, especially the main character.
SEMI SPOILER ALERT !!!!

What season? I just ran across season 3 in the library, so thought I'd watch it since it's free (don't have Paramount+). So far, not that great. Way too much over the top personal drama. No one is acting professionally like Star Fleet officers should. More of a sci-fi soap opera. And the technobabble is getting even more non-sensical.

Season 1.
So it gets worse :rollno:

The redlettermedia guys are saying cautiously optimistic good things about Picard season 3. I'll give it a shot. Seasons one and two are dumpster fires but this one doesn't look awful. This season apparently has a story and character development. Even some science fiction from what I'm hearing.

Worf was great. It was really Worf. As I was watching it, I was annoyed when he murdered a room full of people with a sword after talking about his new found calmness and pacifism. But it's fine. Klingons are hypocrites. Riker was good. It was nice of them to let Marina Sirtis film herself at home. I expect Laforge to be good. Brent Spiner is coming back as an Android. Either B4 or Lor. Or some other random Soong type Android they make up. I like what I'm seeing. I really, really hope it doesn't turn to ****.

We're watching Picard as it comes out. We are also rewatching Enterprise and recently started Discovery. Again. We are giving it a second chance. The first season was pretty bad, which is why we stopped watching it. The second season got a little better, but there are still some clunker episodes. We take bets on how many times Michael will cry, or when she'll start crying. We also decided that the quality of an episode depends on how much screen time Michael has - the less, the better. We both really like Christopher Pike (we also watched SNW and loved it).

Yes, I had a colleague just the other day telling me how good Discovery is. I guess we are all different.

I did find that Discovery S4 was the best of them. Maybe I was numb to the bits that annoyed me by then. I decided to just take that as a win.
