Damn, I wanted to show off my Kingbass, and then you come in and take all the attention..
Just kidding, it looks awesome, let me know if you've got some clips of that beauty in action, I'd love to hear/see it being played!

I took my Status to a jam session yesterday, and let the 2 other bassist that were there play a bit too, even though they didn't really like the shape of the body, they loved the sound it produced, and the leds just stole the show :smug:

That's cool. So, you let someone else play your bass? I'm not sure I could sit still for that. Maybe if the washed their hands before they picked it up.

I am going to play it next Sunday, at church. We do podcast and save recordings of all our sessions. I would be glad to share a link if that's something you would be interested in.

The recent posts here are igniting my GAS like nothing else. UGH!!!
Due to that, I decided to give my Energy some love the other day... crowned and polished the frets, new set of strings, and a nice, well deserved cleaning...

I've known these guys for respectively 6 and 10 years, and I know how they treat their instruments, so I trust them enough to have a little play. I stayed within 50 cm range all the time however;)
Heck, one of them has had his American Standard Precision for 5 years and I wouldn't be able to tell it apart from a factory new one if they were side by side.

I will be looking forward to the link Bcal.

rojo, your Energy looks great. The full black finish just gives it an awesome look.

Also, I've read a lot of people say "I'll play it it church then", is it normal to play in church?
Where I live (Holland), we only have music that needs electric instruments in church at special occasions like easter.

Contemporary Christian music has invaded most churches in and around the big metropolitan areas. You can hardly find a church around Houston that doesn't have at least one service for the older crowd and one for the young guns. Our church has contemporary music in both services. I don't mind posting a link so you will have some idea of how our church does it. I have already been told that LEDs don't really fit in with worship, though. Maybe at Christmas.

Just don't expect me to be tearing up the fingerboard. Basses in church are generally a classic tempo standards versus a lot of finger walks. From time to time we get to be more progressive. I love those times.

B1 will never happen again. Hans wilfer from warwick slapped a C&D on rob/status.
I think rob even had to destroy the molds.

I know its not the same but i think a streamline with the modified 300 eq the B2 has with custom numerals could cop a buzzard ish vibe :)

No, Not a B1 re issue that is a copy of old model, actually impossible. But more of a B3...on statii.com there were some proposal of design, pretty cool.
I would buy a more extreme design

Oh right, that would be cool.

Even a more explorer shape would be great. Im sure only the wing tip and pistol grip were the contested features in the design (john had the debate while he was still here, with his moduli and later statii model of B1).
I love my B2 but would happily sell a kidney for a one piece carbon B style bass...... Whatever shape it may end up.
His peter cook flaming V would look cool in CF as would an explorer..... Maybe chris could talk with rob again now some time has passed and the deal with dean is done...... Maybe a long term legacy model could work..... Plenty of people want a 1 piece buzzard so there is still some demand for one.

Well, I got to perform with my new S3 Black Beauty yesterday. I said I would post a link for those who wanted to see/hear it in action. Here's the link:

You're looking for the 5.10.15 Worship Service. Fast forward past the announcements. I was dared to light her up several times but I resisted the urge. I'll wait for a special event.
Rob, thanks for making me such an awesome bass. Going to be cutting loose with a little Grand Funk RR later this month. I try to get a recording.

I've got a Status Empathy 5 w/ a cocobolo top and side led's that I bought from Beaver F. a few years ago. I haven't figured out how to load a better pic from my phone and using my old camera and computer is a pita. The neck contour was very comfortable right from the start.
