Salut, Lulu! I suppose as the current secretary of the club, I have an obligation to point out that TB requires that all sales activity be on the forums designated for that purpose For Sale: Bass Guitars | TalkBass.com It's reserved for supporting members, but I see that you are one, so it ought not to be a problem. You'll find more buyers there than on this thread, in any case. Who knows, I might even want it for myself (but I'm saying "no....no....you don't need that...." and hoping to be convincing).FOR SALE : STATUS S2-Classic Headed 5 side & front red leds 2800 USD
Welcome to the club, and while I'm sure you don't *need* a number, I'm gonna give you one anyway, if only to make our numbers seem more impressive. ;o) You're now #36 on the Status register.
I'll be curious to hear how you find the arch top of the S3 versus your memories of the Stealth body. The S2s are gorgeous basses but I keep thinking that I'd still prefer the ergonomics of my Stealth. At some point before Rob retires, I want another Status, but I'm torn between a Streamline and an S3 at this point....When I saw the arch top on the S3 I couldn't resist. Now I just have to wait to June!
I have owned status basses before:
...
Stealth 5 string
...
Sold them to try other basses.
I got mine used. Personally, I wouldn't have gone for the LEDs, but in every other respect it was exactly what I would have ordered so I made an offer on it. I had wanted one for a long time and figured I'd flip it if I didn't like it. It's staying, and something else will be going . . .
Indeed! extremely great guy to deal with too!
Do you have his contact information?

The UK location kills it for me[email protected]
There is a good amount of info on his site:
Sims Custom Shop, Custom Built Guitars, Sims LEDs, L.E.Ds, Respray, Body Shop, Bodies, Scratchplates,
Lasers and Pickguards by Martin Sims.
if your interested in this, keep in mind you'd have to send your bass to him for the work in the UK.
Check out the gallery on his site too!
I thought this was pretty cool looking on a fretless - altough i can see it may be a bit distracting for some.....

First time poster - hi everyone

Not getting played much lately - so I may be looking for a new home for it.
Can anyone point me to somewhere I can get an idea of its value please?
