In, not so stoner-doom related news... my entire year was made when yesterday it was announced that Pg.99 will reunite and play the entirety of 'Document 8' at Best Friends Day this year...
What?????? That just made my week! Such a fantastic band and excellent album. Should be a great show!

Thanks! Album is finished, being mastered right meow. Once I get it, I'll be sure to send you a copy. Should have it in a few weeks...that would make my year to have the album.
True story: I met this band the day they started recording the demo...in the studio. Came back the next day & recorded the bass tracks and was in the band.

So, anyway...
I've been thinking about recording a stoner rock album with a friend. I want to go above and beyond the whole "wank on the blues scale for an hour with ganja smoke and distortion all around you," though. That's great and all, AND WE WILL HAVE THAT, but still... I need progressiveness! I'm thinking of adding noise layers, industrial elements, musique concrete elements, and other such experimentation... but besides that, what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Now, I'm not asking for TB to write me an album, but merely to suggest what you'd like to hear in a progressive/experimental stoner rock record!
I'm open to anything!
