No guitars ever. We started playing in late 2008, and the plan from the start was always to keep it just drums and bass.
Some good shows coming to the MD/DC area!
Tonight - Eyehategod and Misery Index at Sonar
Feb 22 - Weedeater at Sonar
Mar 1 - Sourvein (local plug for opener Questioner!) at Sonar
Mar 9 - Backwoods Payback with Admiral Browning, Lo-Pan and Billows (Us!!) at the Talking Head @ Sonar
March 23 - Crowbar, St. Vitus and Helmet at Jaxx
March 24 - Caltrop, Batillus, Hull and Billows (us again) at the Sidebar
And of course don't forget Maryland Deathfest in May
I'll definitely be at the Weedeater show! If you guys want to check out some not so well known talent, come to both of our Billows shows. The bands we are playing with are just incredible. Tickets should be cheap too!

I love MDF. I'm totally going this year. The previous band I was in was actually with Evan, one of the two founders of MDF. It's a great time.
I had a great time both years I went but money constraints kind of prevented me this year (recording ain't cheap).
Wiki says C.O.C. is supposed to be there this year. How true it is, IDK. Yeah Lazuras, I'd like to check you(Billows), and Lo-Pan out!!!

They are - an older lineup, not the "Clean My Wounds" or "Albatross" lineup.
FWIW, word on the street is Salome called it quits = /
Has anyone mentioned RVA-based COUGH yet? They're playing Scion Rock Fest this year.
So far as I know it's the "Animosity" lineup. Woody in, Pepper out.

I saw Atlas Moth with Questioner (at the time they were Isthmus) maybe a year ago with dysrhythmia and they were fantastic!

Did you go to the eyehategod show? My friends' band, Surroundings played (i've subed a few times on bass for them). I was at a show in Baltimore the night before, and didn't feel like driving up again :/
In, not so stoner-doom related news... my entire year was made when yesterday it was announced that Pg.99 will reunite and play the entirety of 'Document 8' at Best Friends Day this year...

I ended up not going even though I loved EHG at MDF last year and Misery Index is brutal as hell. I'm 100% going to Weedeater though! My favorite stoner band ever...
