And Weedeater was incredible last night. I didn't realize the new album doesn't come out for a few more weeks, should have bought it there when I had the chance! Stood against the stage right in front of Dixie's rig and I'm still alive. I'll post some crappy iPhone pics soon!

The first 'Doom metal' show i saw was Weedeater and Bongzilla in the old Charm City Art Space. I think my ears are still bleeding! Haha!

I do have a long history with SVT's, V4's and old school Acoustics.
Also, still have a Peavey Mark IV slave if that helps.
This wasn't my first rodeo. After being front and center for many Cattle Decapitation shows, I can dodge spit bile and vomit like a seasoned ninja. Actually Keith almost fell off the stage after they were done playing. Looked like he was close to puking but he kept it in haha.

Notice how his G string blends right in with the rosewood fretboard? It was completely rusted lol.
Not being very familiar with musical oddities or effects in general, I believe he was also performing dark magic. He had something that whenever he raised his arm, even from across the stage without his instrument his amp would feedback, but when he put his hand down it stopped.
Oh yeah, isn't he known to puke during sets?
Also, what is in the bottle of cough syrup? My girl and I saw them and have always argued about what he kept in there.

Yeah, 2 215 cabs. No idea what they were, although I'm sure someone here knows. They looked old and beat up as hell. He was running the Sunn SS head and a SS slave amp so I'm assuming one powers each. I don't understand how he plays that bass though. Like I said you can see in the pic, his G string is 100% rust and the other strings are getting there lol.

Both cabs have been reloaded with speakers, if I'm not mistaken. Just ask him, he'll tell you....

Cough syrup. You can get high off dextromethorphan if you take enough, and sippin' sizzurp has been part of Dixie's schtick for a while.
Depends on the manufacturer. Lots of DXM syrups also contain acetaminophen and guaifenesin, which are very bad for you in sufficient quantities, but I imagine Dixie knows his brands. Of course, I in no way endorse this sort of behaviour
.I've always loved his amp settings- volume, bass and mids all the way up, treble all the way off.
