With an upgrade that involves a color change, do we just email our choices for knob and LED colors?

I'm actually starting to question my decision on the Slampegg. Practicality does, currently, limit me to a one-tube option as my mini board's already got 500mA going to other pedals, and I'm using a good ol OneSpot. Plus, I've got a Linden EQ on that board, so that's a whooole lot of Ampeg in one place if I double up.

Consequently, I'm thinking London Underground might pair well with the Linden instead... but fair warning, I might not want it in orange......

intersting. I have an open slot in a few months and am hesitating between the LU, the Dr Watson and the SD. Perhaps Slampegg if I fail more FlipTops... I’m looking for some character/dirt/light OD that will be placed in front a a tube preamp. How do you power the SD? I’m wondering if the CIOKS DC7 (2X660mA) will suffice in practice...

I have a Yankee 24. But I also used a 1 spot. Once it warmed up it wasn't as power hungry. I have all the Sushi preamps and they all do different things. For character and dirt the LU is awesome.

I'm actually starting to question my decision on the Slampegg. The Linden is just an EQ. That's it. It doesn't emulate the pre or the power, let alone the speaker. I wouldn't equate that to a Fliptop/Slampegg at all.

One the same pedal? I don't. I either use it clean or dirty. I have about 120 pedals lol so I usually find something a pedal excels at and leave it there.

Was thinking of moving on my PA to use this for clean and dirty on a compact board if possible.

I'm officially upping volume to 40 builds a month starting January, so if you were in January or February you are now in January, and if you were in March or April you are now in February.

Oh and Deep Dish is ready to go for orders starting in January, so if you already have a slot you can upgrade in the Add-On Shop, if not you can get a new build in the March slots.

That's a pretty significant increase, very nice!

I was fine with March, with the hopes that you'd maybe have some Sushi-fied version of a Khan DI done by then... Still crossing my fingers on that!

I don't think anyone has an X yet. I'm getting both in this month's batch so I'll know soon enough. I also have the Fliptop and P-15, all of which I can A/B with my '63 B-15N.

But you also have to be clear about WHICH B-15 sound you want. Different eras and models have different tube configs. They're similar, but not the same.

EDIT: Then we can get into the different speakers used ... it's a rabbit hole.

I'll be interested to hear your comparison as well. I've never owned a B-15 of any sort, but the Slampegg sure comes darn close to the sound in my head (and from what I can compare to on youtube videos). But that reminds me... I have a Catalinbread SFT mkI that I should pull out of the toy box and compare to as well. I suspect it won't be a fair comparison though, since it doesn't have a tube.

Apparently my chosen DI transformer manufacturer (CineMag) has been incredibly busy and the order I tried to place two months ago was just processed today, so hopefully I'll be getting some high-quality transformers to play with soon. I don't blame them for taking so long, but I think in the future I'll try contacting them via phone instead of relying on email I don't know when the Sushi DI (probably not the actual name) will be ready, but honestly it hasn't been officially started yet.

Lol, yup that's me I never felt the need to come up with a stage name as I've been told since high school that my real name already sounds like a rockstar name

band I used to love called Atomship was named Nathan Slade. They only put out one album in 2004 called The Crash of ‘47 but it’s awesome - definitely worth a listen if you’re into heavier tool-esque stuff.

Hi Nathan @Sushi Box FX just wondering what size enclosure the Deep Dish ended up in? You were talking about a 1590BB for the 2 tube version, but I suspect it is the 1590X looking at it. With orders coming forward I am trying to work out what to lock mine in at Deepdish or a Preamp (Or even hold out for a Tube DI, or a Preamp Pedal with an onboard DI out) The size of the Deep Dish is vital to my decision making process! If it is a boss sized pedal smaller than my LA-1A, that is a huge plus for real estate options!

I must admit, that in addition to garish graphics or unpalatable names, that size, orientation and whether a pedal has back-loaded jacks or not, have come to all factor heavily into my pedal choice criteria.

A decent size and top jacks are a must for me. That was a big draw to Sushi to begin with. Looking for a fuzz with top jacks that isn't 4 inches wide is making me aware of how few people care about this stuff.

That is actually a 1590BB, I was able to make it fit. So for those less familiar with Hammond enclosure sizes, that's 4.7" x 3.7" x 1.4" which is quite a bit smaller than LA-1A
