Does anyone know if (when) more Neptuniums may be available? Would love to try one. If anyone isn’t gelling with it and wants to sell please (which is doubtful based on comments) please pm me and I’ll take it off your hands. Thanks.

I had never thought about it before but I think I’ve figured out why I like the Darkglass VMT and Vintage Deluxe so much. I believe it is because of my Sushibox DIs.
I was thinking back to the first time I tried a VMT years ago and didn’t really fall in love with it and moved it on. Why didn’t I like it as much then? Ever since I got another VMT, and now Vintage Deluxe, I’ve run it into a Finally, and now also Venus. It really just gives me what I think is the perfect overdrive sound.

I recently picked up a Finally V1 and I am loving this box! That being said, I will be patiently waiting for the Finally V2's or possibly a Neptunium to become available again for the independent XLR level adjustment.
On this note, I plan to run mine via the XLR output when not playing at home. Does the XLR become the only knob that controls volume at that point. Or will the other volume knob still make adjustments too in tandem?
There are two volume controls, one for the 1/4" output and one for the XLR output. They work independently, but I have heard that if you use the 1/4" output and the XLR output that the volumes do interact with each other. @Sushi Box FX will provide more insight, but I seem to recall reading that the interaction between the two is only noticeable when at least one of the volumes is at 100%.
I'm only using the XLR out at home and when playing live, so I have not used the 1/4" out yet.
I do get just a tiny bit of overdrive on guitar if I really dig in, but I don't notice it at all on bass. Must be something with my pickup outputs, height, etc. that's giving it more signal.
It's a great sounding preamp. Really versatile yet the control set is fairly simple.

Last year the UA was the first step on my SushiBox trail and this May an Elementary, a More and a Finally WBIM came to me. Another Finally WBIM and a Dreamcatcher to one of my students and another UA to a friend of mine. Everybody is extremly happy because your pedals bring our bass and guitar sounds to a new lively level. Keep on with your superb work, stay as you are and take your time for you and your family.
During the summer holidays my soldering friend and I will start to build your Mirage Tremolo and Bassdude (parts havealready been ordered).

And that's fair, I generally either use mine with a passive bass or on guitar with a Black Eye on the front end, so if the Venus is overdriving it gets overwhelmed by the overdrive of Black Eye.
If the XLR volume is the only thing being used, the XLR volume control is the only knob that really controls the volume. That being said, the two volume controls are passively split from the same output of the preamp, so when either one is turned all the way one direction, it can have some effect on the other output. It's a similar effect to using a bass with passive volume controls for the pickups, one will affect the other a little bit.

Forgot to answer this one. I will be building more Neptuniums, but it will be sometime in August. The main purpose of my downtime for June and July has been redesigning the entire Sushi Box lineup, and Neptunium was initially just intended to be a fundraiser for Sushi Box R&D to cover things while I'm not taking regular orders. Everything has been going well and the shipments of the verified redesign circuit boards will start arriving this week, so I expect to be busy getting those together soon.
That being said, there has been overwhelming support in favor of keeping Neptunium around, and doing things people ask me to do is pretty much on-brand for me, so I will be offering more Neptunium builds as soon as I've had a chance to build up some stock of the usual stuff. I was originally planning to roll everything out all at once, but logistically it looks like it's going to make sense to stagger things a bit. Finally v2 will be the first thing to come back, then probably UA, Slampegg, Elementary, and More. JC Emerald and Black Eye II will be next, followed by Detective and Dreamcatcher.
You'll have to forgive the mess of solder flux, this is still a prototype revision.
All film caps in the signal path, no more SMD in those spots; soft-touch relay switching instead of hard-clicking mechanical switching; addition of an internal "line level/instrument level" attenuation switch.
Oh don’t worry, I ordered one at launch. Been playing with it non-stop, it’s really good, just trying to understand the whole tube mechanics better so I can wrap my head around how to set all my gain stages leading up to it and ultimately how to dial in the pedal.
Tube newbie here who made an account specifically for this page haha. Picked up a second hand SpaceHeater a while ago and have been loving the warmth and saturation it adds to my signal, especially as I play almost exclusively DI to FOH. Been eyeing the Finally since it came out and now by extension the v2, WBIM, and Neptunium and am hoping to snag one to add more warmth and use the SH as a drive. That being said, I've noticed my SH adds a fair amount of noise to my signal (tested by removing it from the chain). Are tubes normally noisy or could it be the tube on it's way out? Additionally, if I add more tubes would that mean more noise? Like I said, complete tube newbie here but loving SushiBox and have no intention of giving up my SH or not adding a Finally or Neptunium eventually.
I have the Elementary & Neptunium. Both are dead silent, however, I don't use high gain settings on the Elementary, as I prefer a fat, punchy, but clean sound.
Noise issues for me with toobs have been either 1. Power issues (either not enough current or not an isolated power source) or 2. Noisy tube. If you have a sufficient power source you should be able to run multiple without noise.
I've had noise was when I wasn't supplying my UA with enough current (mA). There were varying degrees of high pitched squealing and crackling. Upgrading my power supply fixed that.
Another common power-related noise issue is sharing power with a digital pedal. My Canvas Tuner can also cause noise unless it's on an isolated port.
These guys nailed it. Historically 99.9% of the time people contact me about a noisy pedal, it's been resolved by using a different power supply. Space Heater will need at least 400mA t 9V, or a little more at 12V.
If you're using reliable power with sufficient amperage, then you may want to look into swapping the tube.

If the space heater was made before around October 2023, it may have been made before the polarity correction was standard, which can also be a cause of unwanted noise
