So has anyone used a lab rat on bass? I noticed there’s not any sound clips for the lab rat on the website. I have a London underground coming. And I have a slampegg on order as well. I recently acquired another ampeg-ish Pre So I’m considering changing the slampegg To a lab rat or maybe a Sunday drive. Just for a little different flavor…

Right, hopefully I'll remember to get some recordings for it this month. There was one last month and one this month, and I think the best adjective I have for it on bass is BRUTAL. It's definitely not the universal sound everyone needs, but for those that do need it, it is excellent.

I have one ordered that’s being built currently with Bass voicing.
Obviously haven’t tried it yet, but Rat circuits tend to be pretty awesome on bass.
I’ll report back once I’ve gotten it!

Thanks. The Cioks 4 at 12V is rated at 500mA. You can bridge but that would be a higher voltage to get that and you've made it clear more is bad
It actually is practical for me. My one bass (Rob Allen Deep 4 - in the pic on the left) has two discrete outputs. One output is the magnetic pickup and the other is the piezo. All of my amps need two inputs for this reason. If I want to use, say, a Fliptop or the P-15, I need to sum the outputs through an old DOD resistance mixer I used to use when I schlepped more than one bass and pre-B-15 when I only had one input.
Anyway, without summing, I'd have to plug/unplug stuff if I switched. With the dual Slampegg, I can use it as a pre for all my basses but it'll act as pre and a mixer for the RA, hence the one out which will go into the Baby Sumo. I didn't need discrete outputs for each one.
I'm super thrilled right now.

So as a quick printing update, all Dr. Wattsons and Slampegg X for December have been printed. Moving on to LU now.

love seeing this! Fun. I think my biggest surprises are I figured there would be more X series ordered. And how popular LU is. I assumed PA and SP would be far and away the most ordered. I guess combined they are.

Yup, there will be two (so far) in January's batch. I also finally powdercoated my personal LUX, so I will have that boxed up soon. But PA is starting to fade, which doesn't really bother me. LU and PA are really similar, to the point that I don't recommend owning both as they're redundant, but people seem to be deciding they prefer the LU. Slampegg is definitely the clear winner in the popularity contest though, between X and regular taking almost half the slots in December.
Edit: just for fun I peaked at the January batch, and out of 39 builds there are only 4 PAX and 1 regular PA.

I'm still excited for my standard Particle Accelerator.
And it's still an amazing pedal, I will never play bass without my PAX again, that has become an integral part of my tone. Plus it's the pedal that more or less put me on the map, it's the reason most of you know who I am
I was thinking this also.... The Dr Wattson still sounds the best for me... But when things slow down I’m going to sit down listen closer with my good phones and recording setup...
This actually raises a question around the uncertainty I was having recently! Between the Slampegg and London Underground demos, it sounds like the LU pushes harder into breakup and straight-up drive territory. As bassists, we love breakup even more than moody pop singers do, which may explain the migration away from the PA (if the LU is like a PA but ruder)...that or just about every bass player here's got a PA now heh
To switch up comparisons, might one say that the gain on tap between the PA and the Slampegg are similar? As in, is the Slampegg more of a "relationship on the rocks" than full-on breakup kind of thing?
