The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Ah I see, cheers.

I was just wondering if they were all going the way of the stunning colour PA you posted...
Unfortunately no, UV ink is absurdly expensive ($300 for a set of inks) and I feel like I'm wasting ink when I do full color prints. I'll probably do an occasional one for special occasions (any charity auctions coming up?) but I won't be offering them for builds.

Makers perfect sense.

Look forward to bidding on one, such a seductive design.

Well I have some mild bad news. I don't know if the issue is with the printer or the file, but the bee image on the Slampegg X has been printing really pixelated. It only did it on three pedals because I stopped after that until I could figure out what was wrong. I still don't know why it was doing it, but I figured out a way around it so I can move on. I was going to just keep the three that were done as-is (@kranahan and @FenderP were both affected) because it's not terrible from a distance, but the more I look at it the more I hate it. So I'm going to sand the top off the affected pedals and re-coat them so I can fix the print. This isn't a huge deal, the finished pedals won't look any different, but it's an extra couple hours of work. It's looking less likely that the december batch are going to be done before christmas, but I'll still see how much I can get done, and worst case I'll try to get everything done over the weekend and shipped out next monday.

No worries at all. Honestly, that's just aesthetic. You do what you have to. I'm not in a huge rush.

FWIW - The last P15 drop actually was available in stock for a few hours during the recent Fliptop release and some are being made available on each drop day as things stand now [ and as I understand things ] Any true Broughtonites can feel free to update or correct me if I am wrong about this ! Perhaps because of the higher cost the P15 did not vanish off the Broughton site in a matter of minutes as his stuff often does - so there is hope of snagging one next release date if that's your goal . .... He actually figured it out last night, think there was a followup post right after that :D

I did get it figured out, I'm actually re-exporting all my files right now. I also sanded down and re-coated the three botched ones yesterday, so they will be re-printed. I got some good photographic evidence of yours though as it was the first print I did. I don't think I'll be offering combo builds in the future, but the look of yours is certainly growing on me.

I've been lucky with Broughton drops - got the two I wanted by hitting F5. Yes, Josh generally now has the P-15 in nearly every week. Sometimes it lasts longer, sometimes minutes but it never doesn't sell out ... for good reason.

I had a specific reason for wanting the combo and thank you for indulging me.

Way easier to get a spot... until the rest of the Broughton kids figure out they like pedals with Toobz and come over to play on the Sushi Box side of the street! ;):roflmao::laugh:

(sorry... couldn't resist. lol)

5sg.
Lol. Some of us have been here since the start. And we luvs toobz. But we’ll try to keep the riff raff at bay, m’kay. :smug: Kranahan actually started this thread after the Sushi topic came up over there and started to get legs.

I like to complain, but it really wasn't difficult :P I had just never done that size enclosure before so I was setting everything up from scratch. I just did the test print for it and it looks much better, so I have your enclosure on the printer right now. I'll post a pic in a few minutes when it's done.

Here you go.

That's awesome!

Will it work at 18 or 24, or just 12? Inquiring minds want to know :)
It should really be 12, there won't be any benefit running it higher as all voltages are regulated internally anyway. The 12AX7 will want 12V on the heater, and the 6N21B has a 6V regulator, so the higher the input voltage the hotter that regulator is going to get, and if it gets too hot it will shut down.

Oh and also power input capacitors are only rated for 16V, so too much voltage and they'll literally explode :)

Oh and also when I have it boxed up I'll get it plugged in and let you know how beefy of a power supply you'll need. It will most likely be in the 800-1000mA range, but I'll get a solid number.
