In this case it was actually as a result of a Cease and Desist letter I received a week or so ago. There's another one missing as well.

I complied with the request in good faith without admitting wrongdoing, which is apparently the legally polite way to handle things. I'm not here to ruffle feathers, just trying to make cool pedals.
If you’re allowed to share, what did they have an issue with, the design of the circuits, or the name of the pedals?
You can't trademark a circuit; they took issue with the naming and the mention of trademarked names in product descriptions. There is some gray area in "fair market use" of trademarked names, but I'd much rather be on the safe side so I did everything they asked.
FWIW, the Arkham Oracle description on the product web page seems a fair middle ground for describing a vintage product inspired pedal, without treading on Brand issues.
Yeah I actually edited the pages on the website first with brand-safe descriptions and was going to leave it at that, but I figured to be on the safe side I would pull them down completely for now while I decide what to do with the models long term. I'm considering offering relabeled units at a discount to get rid of stock on hand so I'm not taking a big financial hit, then I can decide where to go from there.
Sign me up for re-labeled Sushi, please. Something that will complement my Neptunium (the best pedal EVER).

I get it, but how does Origin Effects get away with a pedal called the B15 or Super Vintage or 64 Black Panel. Better lawyers or them being over seas?
Theirs is called the Bassrig Fifteen, which is different enough, and the Super Vintage isn't called the SV, so it may be in the clear there.
But it could also just be better lawyers and/or being overseas.
That and copyright lawyers that make sure they say enough but not "too" much of what it's inspired by.
