The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

@Sushi Box FX Are there any plans for clips of the Westinghouse?

I mean, I bought one anyway, just curious. Thanks!
Of course there are plans, I made the plan to record Westinghouse and Space Heater last weekend :P I don't think it will happen tonight, I'm pretty booked, but I think I can make it happen tomorrow.

Just reading up on the Westinghouse, I've fantasized about this feature in a two channel preamp so the user could choose to have that channel be more modern or vintage sounding. Then, each channel having two full eq sections, with an optional overdrive. Think of the Bassbone OD, but with a usable overdrive, and tubes. Oh, and throw a tuner in it like the EBS, and its a magic box that everyone will want. Put a notch option in the eq like the ebs and you'll get upright players on board. Oh, I'll buy one too. :)

Well I messed up. I ordered all the JJ/Tesla 12AX7 I need for X series builds this month, but I totally forgot to order the 12AU7 and 12AT7 for Deep Dish builds :( Trying to decide between last minute tube order or just giving everyone NOS tubes and hoping they'll forgive me.

Just use small lightbulbs. Like out of your stove. It’s all the same right?

Pretty much :P

It's not an issue of not having any tubes on hand, I just don't keep a lot of JJ/Tesla on hand. For... reasons.

I do actually have one JJ in here, see if you can spot it :P

Hey Senor - I”d suggest you poll the Deep Disher’s to see if a slight delay matters . NOS tubes may be more problematic down the road and you don’t want that potentially happening . That said when the Westinghouse is released count me in for the NOS Mullard you got stashed away ! ! ! .... Kelly

Yes. This guy gets it.
Alas NOS EF86 have been harder to come by. I have a NOS "International" EF86 from West Germany in my Westinghouse, but the production models will have Soviet 6J32P, same tube Night Owl uses in Edison.

I was actually bidding on a handful of Mullard and Amperex EF86 so I could have kept one for myself and made the others available, but the auction went higher than I was willing to pay :(

I maybe misread along the way, but I thought there was mention that the Westinghouse would be similar to the Edison and have an EF86?

5sg.
You're correct, Westinghouse uses EF86 (or equivalent). Original Edison uses a 6J32P which is the Russian version of EF86, that's what Westinghouse will be shipping with when they're made.
