Honestly I just use my Klon for the bufferBut, you could put together a second board. Or put the Tube Klon on the bass board.
That could be interesting to design, but switching individual stages would probably only produce subtle differences. Part of what makes the preamps sound different is the number of stages and the fact that some of them have multiple stages set up differently. PA is unique in that its two gainstages are identical to each other, I think every other preamp has some differences, even if it's just cathode cap value, between the first stage and the later stage(s).Maybe have a Space Heater Special, with a rotary knob that flips between the gain stages of all your preamps. PA, DW, SBP, SD, LU. Sort of a "pick your flavour"
Ok… so I decided to join the Secret Society. I ordered a Particle Accelerator X; but I can’t make up my mind between fractured cherry or black (w/ black knobs). Does anyone have a fractured cherry pedal you can post so I can see what it looks like?
Thx.

I've got a couple. I love the look of fractured cherry, but I selfishly try to steer people away from it because it takes about 3x as much work as any other finish.Ok… so I decided to join the Secret Society. Man, that finish looks great!!Quick Westinghouse news: the new boards work. The switch works great, I have a little bit of room to set the voltage range, I like mine as high as I can get it so I'm switching between 235V and 40V.
The most common cause of a switch popping is DC voltage on the switch. The function of the switch on Westinghouse is 100% to switch DC voltage, so you will hear a pop when you flip the switch. Every single time. I RECOMMEND BYPASSING THE PEDAL BEFORE SWITCHING VOLTAGES TO PROTECT YOUR SPEAKERS.

Thanks, it does look great in that picture, I think it's a little overwhelming in personMan, that finish looks great!!
Hahaha nice. I love overwhelming!! I'm loving those flakes too! I may have to order a few more ...Thanks, it does look great in that picture, I think it's a little overwhelming in personit's the standard full-color print with "chameleon sapphire teal" clearcoat over it.
What’s the story with the the dual PAX?I've got a couple. I love the look of fractured cherry, but I selfishly try to steer people away from it because it takes about 3x as much work as any other finish.

This is true. More boards = more pedals = more structure. You don’t want pedal entropy. But, you could put together a second board. Or put the Tube Klon on the bass board.
As the owner of violet with blue knobs I can say if you try to make an ugly one you will be unsuccessful. Don’t sweat the color. The PAX is great.Ok… so I decided to join the Secret Society. What’s the story with the the dual PAX?
The dual PAX is a custom build for @rjmsteel I don't generally like doing them because it's extra work, but I made an exception in his case because it's for use with his custom Alembic bass. It's absolutely gorgeous (hope he's okay with me sharing a pic) but he wanted to add some character to the tone. He brought his rig to my house a while back to try out some preamps and decided he wanted a PAX on each channel, so we talked about it and this is where we landed. But seriously, LOOK AT THIS BASS. I had never even seen an Alembic bass in person, this thing blew me away.Looking good Nathan!
