The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Sometimes a cookie is just a cookie.
Did someone mention COOKIES

So unrelated to cookies, about 6 months ago I picked up a weird powdercoat to try out and never tried it. I finally opened it up and tested it out tonight and it blew my mind. I'll get pictures in the morning. Based on interest I may want to have it replace one of the current available finishes.

I changed my mind, I'll post the picture now. The powder is called "Super Chrome II" and you can imagine what color it is, so it's obviously hard to photograph accurately, but it looks neat.

I like pedals. I like shiny things. Seems like it could work out.

More importantly looks like the printer does well atop it
Yup, part of that is just that the black and color inks go on easier. Something about the white ink just makes it finnicky, so the darker color enclosures are tricky to print on. I've been using the inks recommended by the printer manufacturer, but I'm wondering if there's a better quality ink out there that would give better results.

In case anyone is wondering why they haven't received a shipping notice yet, I'm running a little behind schedule due to feeling a bit under the weather for part of the weekend and not wanting to work when I don't trust my brain to be firing on all cylinders. I feel better today and am hoping to finish everything up today/tonight and start shipping. So current status:

46 total pedals for the month (extras due to SBVT push backs and special cases)
26 completely finished, waiting for final testing
12 mostly finished, waiting for power/in-out jack wiring then final testing
1 mostly finished, waiting on parts order (the customer knows about it)
2 LRX waiting on switch wiring, the dual footswitch in a small box is a little annoying so I procrastinate it
5 SBVT that will be finished after everything else, estimated completion is Friday for those

So I apologize for the delay, but I will do everything I can to get them out as quickly as I reasonably can while keeping consistent quality and thorough testing.
I don't know how you do it.I realize of course that you love your work, but it seems you're always under the Sword of Damacles.I have a Sunday Driver coming and I am of course looking forward to it but a day one way or another matters little.Take care.

So I have to make a correction to a previous statement I made regarding King Nothing: I actually found a setting to get a good bass tone out of it. I still wouldn't say it's the be-all end-all bass preamp, but with the gain low (9:00-ish) and the Lows switch in the fattest position (down) you can get a nice warm clean, and with the mode switch you can switch in some extra grit. I personally still wouldn't put it above PAX or Slampegg, but it's usable and pleasant sounding for sure.
I see of course there's no slots due to summer time off.I want a SBVT.How can I go about placing an order for when production starts up?

This is probably something I should put in the FAQ or mention on the website somewhere, I've had a few people ask me. I'm going to be making a couple changes to the lineup, hoping to have at least one new model that I can make available before August, so I'm holding off on opening up ordering until I get everything finalized and have a chance to get the website all up to date (which I've been procrastinating for a while now).

So if you haven't already, jump onto the website and sign up for the mailing list so you'll get an email announcing when ordering will open back up. I promise I don't spam people with the newsletter, I send maybe one out every two months. I don't use it for marketing (which is what the website host people recommend), pretty much just to announce new ordering slots opening.

SBVT boards are put together, final assembly will happen tomorrow, hoping to have everything done and in the mail Monday.

In other news an actual doctor has told me to get more sleep, so I'll probably start looking into that, which may affect production.
