The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Yes yes a million times yes. I have my SH on my bench right now wiring in resistors due to the output level :D

Edit: incase anyone was wondering, yes, guitar strings are a ground path and can/will complete a circuit and electrocute you via your arm that is resting against the strings :wacky:
Also you can cram aluminum in the fuse slot on old Peavey amps. Hey, it got me through high school.
Is that a ground path.

Oh, if at one point senior @Sushi Box FX wants to try his hand at creating what I have in the picture above, but in one box I'd totally support mark 1 mod 1 of the Spacehouse.

My only downer comment is that I wish the space heater was a little less hot- if I don't have the Westinghouse set to accept the hot signal I generally have the level knob as far CCW that I can.

Try a 5751 tube. That would be the next step down in gain after 12AX7. I put one on the OD channel of my Verellen Meatsmoke and it tamed it just enough without changing the overall tonality.

How are the SBVTs coming along?
I'm late :( I got a couple finished and boxed up last night, but I've been getting headaches lately, so I've been trying to work a little less and sleep a little more. I'm going to try to finish the rest tonight, as they're all really close. I'm getting kids ready for bed now then I'll get some pics and keep everyone updated on progress.

Let me know if you want to try a cool finish on a JC Emerald or a Wrecking Ball X. I'm game. Hit me with ideas.
So your JC Emerald enclosure has actually already been finished, I did most of the June enclosures at the same time as May, saved myself some time.

Your Wrecking Ball X enclosure has been milled, but I actually have no idea what to do on artwork for it, so I'm pretty open to suggestions on that one.

Man, take care of yourself. I know pedals are important (it *is* TalkBass after all) but your health (and kids) way more than that.

Caricature of Miley Cyrus?

:bag:
Find me one with a free or cheap licensing and I can do it, but I would prefer something a little less polarizing. I have an image in my mind of what I would love it to look like, but as a non-artist I can't make it, and I can't find anything like it on any of the usual sites I get art from.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm generally fine enough with the way I take care of myself, but I had a serious issue about 10 years ago that showed signs over the weekend that it might be coming back, so trying to take better care of myself.

Was joking.
Miley Cyrus, wrecking ball.

That joke fell flat.
Oh I got the joke, sorry I didn't respond better :P If you google wrecking ball the first several hundred results are Miley Cyrus. I briefly considered it or something based on it, but couldn't find anything that I liked enough.

Chomp Chomp from Mario Bros?

Not a bad idea, I'll look and see what I can find with it.

Dual Rec Solo, diamond plate pattern?
I thought about that, make it a more minimalistic approach like SBVT. I'll play with that one as well, it would be a lot easier as I won't have to license any artwork.

Anyway, just finished the last SBVT, going up for a snack then off to bed. I'll get shipping info sent out first thing in the morning, then depending on how many meetings I have I'll get them dropped off at the post office during my lunch break at the latest.
