That would be absurdly difficult, that gets a no thanks from meBonus points if you CNC routed a tiny lip into the face of the pedal so the wood veneer inset is flush with the pedal
Yeah I'm trying to decide if I want to clearcoat or anything to help with that. I am strongly considering using some sort of adhesive to hold it to the metal, that should help prevent cracking as well. It is too thin to bore or mill though, this was laser cut. It's just a veneer, about 0.6mm or so.You might bore out for the switch washer. That area may be a weak point and prone to splitting.
So this is the limited edition build I did on the fancy turret board with mojo parts, I haven't thought of a name for this run yet but the circuit is almost exactly the same as Underground Accelerator.You mentioned the underground accelerator has the best parts of the two pedals. Can you elaborate and likely stoke the GAS fires?
So on a technical level:
Start with a London Underground topology
Swap out tonestack for Particle Accelerator values
Swap first stage coupling cap for Particle Accelerator value
Swap first stage cathode bypass cap for Particle Accelerator value
Keep second stage cathode bypass cap as London Underground value
In layman's terms: it gets the gritty drive of London Underground with the low end fatness and warmth of Particle Accelerator.
Good to know, this is the turret board layout I posted a while ago which necessitates putting everything on one side like that, but hell if people prefer it that way it actually makes things easier for me to do everything like thatI think the thing I like the most there is the tube on the side like that with all the controls together, instead of middle/split.
I'm still trying to decide if I want to powdercoat it. I'm torn between matte black, white, and just a sparkly clear. I don't know yet. The faceplate itself will change, this one was just a test, but I think a white box with a darker wood veneer would look fabulous.I love it. Now imagine that plate on a white pedal!
