You could just send me a baggie full of components and I'll figure out the rest.Same, I didn't realize I would want oneI would have ordered more boards, but a) the whole idea of special edition needs to feel exclusive, it wouldn't feel very special if I made 200 of them, and b) they take so freaking long to build

Ironically, the fastest drive from Winnipeg to Southern Ont takes you through Chicago. It’s only 20 hours. Not bad for two neighbouring provinces, huh?

You're arguing against something that I didn't say. And frankly, what you said was wrong. Sushibox builds tube pedals that do a lot of different things (those different things are done by other people as well, but with solid state designs).
No one would be confused and say, "wait, that's not right" because he put an HPF on a pedal. But they would say, "It's cool and all, but it's not a sushi" if it didn't have a tube.
So yeah, I stand by my original post.
Oh man, I totally need to make a solid-state pedal to be released April 1, 2022. That's going to happen.
I've seen a lot of guitarist do this to older tube combos, about a quarter of them have bypass. Master for unity and driving the 2nd stage? Definitely some maths involved with that one, I would think it would be a phase nightmare. A switch, or two outputs would be cool, parallel or series
I would probably try that, doesn't the back of some of your pedals have solid state?

I mean the power supplies are always solid-state, but other than that the only pedals right now that have any solid state are Echosaurus (FV-1 and op-amps), Robot Butterfly (FV-1 and op-amps) and King Nothing (JFET).
About that Echosaurus. Id love to hear from anyone who has experience with it. Its been peaking my interest the last few days!

I wish there were more demos of it. Can it do like a quick slap-back pseudo reverb delay?
With just head #1 on and the time turned fast you can absolutely get a slapback, and you can turn on another head to get a longer cascading effect with your slapback.
Someone should really do a better demo of it.

I was very fortunate to snag a Candy Blue Laser etched Echosaurus from Sr Sushi, my second SB pedal, and absoluty adore it. In the far past I have used and had to maintain tape and oil drum delays so was familiar with the possibilities as well as the problems and expense ~ and lately had been missing the sounds so started looking for a contemporary replacement. The Echosaurus can get all those sounds without the noise, size, cost or maintenance issues.
It is possible to get everything from doubling, slap back echoes to longer complex multitap delays. Echosaurus will also self oscillate so detune or chorus like sounds are possible as well as special effect and doppler sounds by manipulating the controls. The AGE control adds an additional texture to all the sounds taking the crisp digital delay to a very warm slightly out of focus image with more SWELL (repeats). One of my favorite things to do is to play the Echosaurus itself as an instrument getting doppler sounds and effects, this is something I have loved to do since my electronic music classes in college.
Even if you have a full featured digital delay the Echosaurus will be a substantial addition for any musician looking to add a new voice to their arsenal.
For a slapback pseudo reverb you would use HEAD #1 (that's what she said) [sorry couldn't resist]
SPEED fastest SWELL lowest, AGE highest or close, MIX to taste.
This sounds amazing! I havent owned a delay pedal in a while, but man did I enjoy it while I had one. I really like the idea of have a quick slapback than I can add different repeats to with the different heads
I totally dig the Echosaurus for all the things the little box can do. I started playing before there even were delay pedals so have seen the whole development from tape to analog, digital and the current digital algorithm delays and dug them all. The Echosaurus hybridizes the best characteristics from all those evolutions and weeds out the bad issues and limitations leaving us great sound and lots of fun! As much fun as I have with the Echosaurus it is far from my only delay but it is my current favorite delay.
Looks like I need a bigger photo booth.
