The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I'm in the process of figuring out how much they will cost me to make so I can decide how much to sell them for, then I'll decide how many I want to make and order boards. Once I've verified that the design works, I'll announce it officially and open preordering. The Secret Society will of course be the first to know ;)

In the meantime, now is a good time to order Finally for October. I need a new powdercoating gun :p

Hmm....Paypal no longer an option?

Gees - if you in the know folks know - how about letting the rest of us Luddites/ Rubes in on the SECRET ! .... Since it's handwired it is likely to be a limited run given the Senor's previous disagreement with using that method regularly . Those of us waiting for the Super Noble DI - with limited cash flows need advance notice to start selling organs now ! .... Actually though of course I'm really more in the organ buying mode [ kidney ] as my girlfriend has money and some not quite understandable desire to see me live awhile longer ! LOL .... Kelly

Has the idea been talked about here before?
Fine, I'll go ahead and spoil the surprise :P It's a hand-wired Space Heater. I was having a talk wioth one of my friends this morning and mentioned how cool it is that people enjoy the Space Heater so much, so figured it would be a good candidate for the hand-wired treatment. It's a simpler circuit than Underground Accelerator, so I should be able to do it for a little less this time.

I thought it was, but good question. @Sonicblaze do I still accept paypal? Or is that one of those things you told me to get set up and I said "I'll get around to it"?

Another @Sushi Box FX Home Run out of the park! The Underground Accelerator is all it is advertised to be and more IMHO. The drive section is very versatile just as clean, open and rich as the PA but has a wider sensitivity and depth of saturation, especially when pushed by a boost or other drive pedal. The tone section also benefits from this depth giving a bit more richness and refinement in all settings. The UA has also played well so far with all my test basses and instruments from old school passive to actives and my electric keyboards. Even my vintage Harmony H22B strung as a piccolo seemed to pick up a bit of unknown oomph and sparkle from the UA. I may be tempted to get a second one day but for now my funds are going to a Finally.

Dang I'm 2 for 2 today on finding website errors :)
Paypal actually increased their fees, so it was purposely not setup via a conversation @Sushi Box FX apparently forgot :D The primary provider now is Stripe, who also supports Apple Pay and Google Pay (so a few more features than Paypal). But hey, nothing wrong with having them both enabled I guess :)

Paypal is run by economic terrorists in disguise ! Much of the current system is designed to get the rich richer and the poor folks pay for the privilege of contributing to their largess - it is what it is and it's not pretty .... Kelly

Yeah they give me 6 months to pay for SushiBox pedals though :)

If need be just charge an additional fee to help offset the extra expense for those who want paypal that way they can do the payment plan setup without hurting you in the process that's what I'd do atleast.
Ah, good to know that's what you're using it for, that'd be the one thing only they do :) I'll make sure @Sushi Box FX got everything setup properly!

It's not a huge difference though, I think it's like 1%. So if you're buying the most expensive pedal I offer I'm losing $3 more on a paypal transaction than I would if you paid with a card. Cost of running business, not a big deal. I like paying with paypal, I don't want to charge customers more for using a payment method they like.

I just ran through everything with @Sushi Box FX, tested Paypal + all the new-site stuff (My Account stuff, streamlined-shipping, etc), and all is still happy with Paypal.

So, we'll leave both enabled, no extra fees anywhere, and ya'll can pay however you want: Google Pay, Apple Pay, CC direct on the site (and you can save cards on the site for future purchases, it is all handled by Stripe and fully PCI compliant storage/etc; payment security is part of my day-job :)), or any-of-the-Paypal-options.

So buy away

So a question about my Particle Accelerator submini tube version. I have a Candy Red side jack laser etched version that I really like and plan to keep but there is a ping when I switch the pedal on, is that the microphonic issue that is spoken of with those submini pedals? Does it indicate something worse or pending failure? If not no worries as it is an always on for me any way, plus I really dig the sound for recording and I trust @Sushi Box FX can make repairs if needed.
