I revisited my LUPAX last night and went in an entirely different direction with it than I normally would, treating it more as a drive pedal / second channel, rather than an always-on preamp tone shaper. I settled on some wildly different EQ settings than I normally would, but I ended up with a unique voice that played well with my new Broughton Archetype as the base, and using the LUPAX on/off for certain songs.

I feel the same with my MBD-2 & SH,
With a PDR in the middle.
A tripod of outstanding tone.
I’ll chime in just to say that I use and love an MBD2 here as well. 
Not as exciting as NBD or NPD, but I guess NPSD? I'm officially in the Cioks club now. I only have 7 tubes on my pedalboard right now, and the DC7 and c4e take care of them no problem. So that's neat.
Those Cioks DC7 and CIOKS 4 and 8 are incredible Power Supplies.
At one point had something like 25 pedals running of a single DC7 and Daisy chain cables.
Didn't have any noise issues, and was able to feed several branches with different voltages as needed. Great piece of gear and worth every $!
When you first turn it on, what load% light lights up on the DC7 during warmup?
Nice. I keep meaning to pick up a DC7, but then I just keep spending all my money on more pedals.
It flickers briefly into 70% then settles back down to 40%. So I should be good to add another couple tubes when my next board order shows up.

I feel like I’m the only person in the world that didn’t bond with mine. I liked it. It was generally lower gain than I expected. It could do higher gain but mine was a bit noisy at high gain. And it was very modern sounding which I guess isn’t my thing. I didn’t dislike it, but I expected to love it. Plenty of different tonez out there for all of us

You're not alone. It didn't fit the sound I was after...
It is, and I love it for what it does, but I have other dirt pedals that are more transparent and/or vintage sounding.

dude. I have a few sushi’s that I love. LOVE. but I don’t have a SH. That thing seems like a legit homerun and I want one.
It's beauty is in it's simplicity.
Volume, gain, done.
That said, it's v1, so it's SUPER loud.
I'll have to get v1.2 with the attenuator for volume.

I really like the MBD-2, and I thought it would be an integral piece to my sound as at home I had it all dialed in....Slampegg into the MDB then into a Particle Accelerator, which was replaced at the last minute (because it arrived the day before the gig) by the Underground Accelerator. But when I got set up at the gig my setup was way to blatty and farty. After struggling with it for a set and a half I turned off the Slampegg then a few songs later turned off the MDB leaving just the Underground Accelerator and it was perfect. I think I just got caught up in the 'I need all these pedals' syndrome and I will be going back to a Nano board with a tuner, compressor, UA, and either an octave or my Robot Butterfly. Unless I end up liking the MDB by itself better than the UA but I don't see that happening.
I haven’t been gigging but doing a lot of recording and the UA sounds awesome. I can’t turn the thing off….
I have a gig tomorrow and I am running this board into a Rumble 500c. I totally know what you mean about a small and functional board. I also have a Broughton HPF underneath.
