That is incorrect. I use a "nixie style" SMPS, which is capable of 400V but that I have limited to 235V or so, depending on version. In retrospect it was inconsiderate of me to mention the Edison in my advertising and I regret that, but Westinghouse is not an exact clone of Edison, I do use a high voltage SMPS for the plate voltage instead of the voltage tripler. So I apologize in advance for possibly tainting the reputation of SushiBox FX with my technical ignorance, but Seth of Night Owl Industries just accused me of slander on Reverb. I pulled the listing and will be keeping the Westie, but does his description of the Westinghouse sound correct?:
"Plate voltage on an ef86 is 220 volts, which is not present anywhere in this pedal. They just stole my voltage tripler, and allowed for 12v input, which still maxes it out at 36v, so the description is slanderous to my product."
I get where he's coming from. I'm sure he's upset about me cloning his pedal, it's technically legal and there isn't anything you can do besides politely ask people not to. But it was absolutely wrong of me to mention the name of his pedal in my advertising and I regret doing that. I've already edited my listings on the website to be more careful of that. I don't condone attacking users that are selling pedals secondhand, he could have gone about that in a much more friendly way, but I understand why he is upset, and it is completely my fault.Accusing pedal users of slander? Classy guy.
Hes not stupid, he knows how to contact you, going after the end user is well, it paints a picture for sure. Hopefully this resolves without any hurt feelingsI'm not encouraging argument by any means, but this is a voltage reading (240.4VDC) from the inside of my personal Westinghouse. I don't expect that he would ever want to talk to me, but I would be happy to share my schematic if he ever did.

You actually aren't the first one for him to come after, it seems like this morning was when he first discovered the existence of the Westinghouse, and now I guess he's going after every one he can find, just like Bill Finnegan did with all the Klones on eBay.Sorry for the trouble. I used the phrase “non-starved plate” in my product description which may have set him off.
Ah, yup. I type too slow so I take forever to get replies done. Well put.I know, see my edit made before you posted this.
Maybe he was hungry and out of food, makes me grouchy too.Sorry for the trouble. I used the phrase “non-starved plate” in my product description which may have set him off.
Speaking of. So is the October build the updated space heater? I forget exactly what the updates are for all the pedals but The new one maybe has a trim pot so the output volume can be a little less? Or am I way off base there I’m not sure? I know these were covered in the thread somewhere but I don’t remember…My final comment on all this, which of course I do hope gets sorted out positively for all folks involved:
Space Heater rocks!
September and onward is getting the updated Space Heater. The new Space Heater has an internal "ATTEN" trimpot to limit the output so you don't have to keep your volume at 8:00 in order to avoid melting faces.Speaking of. Luckily for you Fluffy Kitten is a solid state pedal, 10ma or so required. It started as Nathan saying he'd do it as an April fools joke...and now here we areI don't have the juice to run two tube pedals on either of my pedalboards. ...yet.
