Dammit. Now you're making me think about how I don't have a dedicated overdrive pedal for both boards just yet. The Source Audio C4 has a few pretty damn good drives, but is tied into the MIDI setup on its board, so having a drive elsewhere to kick on...........

The current target price is $100, you'd be silly not to try one...:D
However if you do have a NeruoHub already and running a MIDI board, I will say the SA Aftershock is a great addition due to that midi ability.

I know I said I was done with TB for the night, but I will never pass up a chance to show off this beautiful thing. Tennessee Electric Artisan in walnut burl. Plays soooooo smoooooth. I'm literally getting rid of the rest of my electrics because I just don't play them anymore.

I'm taking a quick snack break, so now seems like as good a time as any to give a description of Fluffy Kitten. I'll get it updated on the website soon as well.

Fluffy Kitten is a high gain distortion using a low-voltage JFET setup. Each JFET stage is manually biased to play nicely with the others, with the goal of getting as much rich gain as possible without oscillation. It will still get noisy as you crank the gain though, as you would expect of a high gain circuit. Fender style tone stack with capacitors tweaked a little for more low end. Plays well with guitar and bass.

Controls:
Bite = Gain
Meow = Presence
Rawr = Volume
Growl = Bass
Purr = Mids
Hiss = Treble

Takes 9-12V input, but actually now that I think about it I think it can go up to 18V. I'll have to double check. Typical polarity protection I put in everything so polarity of input doesn't matter. Super low current draw, like it doesn't even register on the lab power supply that I use for current testing. Safe to say less than 10mA.

Can I ask is beginners question?

I'm a synth guy, with them I understand the difference between analogue and digital oscillators and filters etc. but with guitar amps and pedals I sometimes confuse myself. This pedal is tubeless, analogue, right?

Correct; all analog, zero tubes.

Well it's just after 4AM, I finished everything except the SBVTs, JC Emeralds, and Dr. Wattsons. Oh and also there seems to be a problem with my King Nothing circuit, none of the King Nothings are working. So I'm going to sleep for a bit, then finish up the unfinished, fix the nonworking, and ship everything.

I'm not fueling this, but if anyone else has run into this problem it would probably in best interest (for this brand at least) to just contact Nathan direct and keep it to the DMs. But you mention changing the wording, check out what's captioned in asterisks on his standard verb add.. lol

Threatening an end user for attempting to sell a used pedal purchased for personal use, that just happens to be loosely based on one of his? lol good luck with that lawsuit. Real classy move, too.

Any chance of me ever checking out a Night Owl product is now officially gone.

I guess threatening seller’s is cheaper and easier then hiring a lawyer to write a cease and desist letter to the builder.

The pedal world is saturated and everything that’s not digital eventually gets cloned. Or something else like it comes along.

That’s why you have to keep innovating your designs or someone else will.

I can totally understand the point of view from night owl but this is pretty bad pr.

Why wouldn’t he just have a chat with Nathan? Unless he is getting that cease and desist letter ready.
