I never managed to get a particle accelerator in the particle accelerator, I don't think I could squeeze a space heater in the space heater.

In the realm of pedal design, is “original” even possible anymore?

Sorry that is not a space heater -- that is an early bread toaster.

So I still like the rocket, but I think I like the solar system a little more. Also this is closer to what the actual wood color I'm going to use looks like.
Thoughts?

Looks kinda like Bender.I stand corrected. The image was from a movie prop shop and was mislabeled.
Here's a vintage space heater. It even has "tubes" (bulbs).

Not really, nope. Nowadays we use "original" to mean "not a 100% copy of something else". There are only so many ways to hook up a tube, only so many ways to set up gainstages, only so many ways to make a tone stack, etc. It seems like the only truly original things happening these days are in the digital realm.
Dang, that sounds like a neat idea. Not sure if I have time to throw something worthwhile together though, I would either have to get a board design together in the next day or two and order it or do a DIY board at home, which I haven't had to do in years. Nothing stopping me though I suppose. I'll think about it.Speaking of which... have you considered joining Champion Leccy's End Of Days fuzz challenge? https://championleccy.com/endofdaysfuzz-challenge/
Well, just accidentally designed a fuzz. I was doodling while doing something else and drew out a block diagram, so now I have to see if I can get a board design done tonight or tomorrow so I can get it ordered ASAP, just need to finish these cinnamon rolls first.
I'm thinking tube input stage -> super nasty germanium -> octave up/down -> another tube stage, maybe with a tone stack?
It doesn't need to be good enough to sell, just needs to be good enough to bring about the end of days.
Any way to clean blend that?Welp, just accidentally designed a fuzz. I was doodling while doing something else and drew out a block diagram, so now I have to see if I can get a board design done tonight or tomorrow so I can get it ordered ASAP, just need to finish these cinnamon rolls first.

Good call, just added a clean blend.Any way to clean blend that?
Pre submition Beta testing!Hang on, I just realized this is supposed to be through 2022, not 2021I was under the impression this was something that had been ongoing that I was at risk of missing out on because I hadn't heard about it earlier. So I don't need to scramble to get it done in the last 2 weeks of 2021, just the last 12 months of 2022.
But I'm already here, may as well finish the schematic![]()

Maybe an octave on/off switch?Good call, just added a clean blend.
Schematic is almost done, I'll get a circuit board layout thrown together and see how fast they can manufacture it and ship it to me. It will be cutting it close for sure.
Yup, I was planning to do this in my medium sized box (SBVT, DWX, etc) and putting in a second footswitch for octave on/off.Maybe an octave on/off switch?
You haven't missed it, still in the works. I'm planning to do a lottery system as was mentioned previously. I'm planning to open the lottery this weekend (maybe even tonight?) and when the pedals are finished I will draw names and those people will have 24 hours to order, if they choose not to then I will draw another name.Haven't heard anything about the Handwired Space Heater lately, did I miss it?
In case it's still ongoing, I suggest a different way to select the happy few: why not asking to the candidates to write a motivation letter here in this thread, where they would explain why they need it. You would arbitrary select the ones you find most moving, convincing, or fun…
