I’ve yet to make a scientific A/B comparison, but my memory tells that my Smoke Signal behaves differently running off a 1.7 amp One Spot, than when I first tried it on a 660ma Cioks port. The 1.7 amp yielding better results, more level, more low end. I intend on doing a thorough examination.

This is indeed a sweet community of pedalists for sure and the Senor deserves the love he gets here . There is a really good reason he is not making as many hand wired units as he could sell though . You don't have to read between the lines too much to figure out that out - He simply doesn't really enjoy the time consuming method of making them that way . As someone who has a family with young kids - a real full time job and a side pedal gig that is expanding who can blame him ... Although I personally don't understand why the local grade school there in Chicago is not teaching elementary soldering techniques ! Seems like a huge missed opportunity - LOL ... Kelly
My wife won't let me teach the kids how to use a soldering iron yet, but my oldest (8 y.o.) learned how to use a hot air reflow station and thought it was fun, so that's a step in the right direction. Everyone in the January batch that ordered an Echosaurus will be getting a board where the FV-1 chip was soldered on by a child
So my now conscious brain reminded me that getting more boards is of course the easy part, it's literally the click of a button. But attaching turrets, bending component leads, hand-soldering, then milling and powdercoating enclosures and engraving and cutting faceplates is of course time-consuming. If there were one or two people on the list that won't get picked I would probably just get a couple more boards in and make everyone happy, but there are 34 people on the list, and I don't really want to build 15 more of these any time soon.
Also to reiterate what has been said, you guys are all super great. The internet in general (and most especially social media) is a virtual cesspool, but there are pockets of awesomeness here and there, and this is definitely one of them.
To me the obvious answer is NO! 12 in this setup alone. I'm very interested in trying some of @Sushi Box FX magic boxes.

Are you really chaining all these tube preamps and compressors? How does it sound?

This was just a test. Normally one set of Edison/PC-2As go on my church pedal board. Usually I have the Effectrode Tube-Vibe in its place (3 tubes).
I barely have the peak reduction control engaged and the LA-1A is being used as a limiter. It's all about adding tube warmth and harmonics at low bedroom levels. I run this clean and with no noticeable noise.
What about turning the Westinghouse into a tube tuner pedal. There are not too many pedals out there that are tuners that have top jacks now, imagine that with a tube inside.

It is today, probably in about 3 hours. It would have been earlier, but I have to take some family to the airport so I'll be home later than usual.
Okay, just got home and had dinner. I'm going to generate the list of names from the website, assign each name a number, then print out the numbers, cut them out evenly so each piece of paper is the same size, then find a suitable container in which to put them, and have my kids take turns pulling them out.
I'll get emails sent out sometime this evening, may wait until kids are in bed though.

So ... what does the hive mind think of a mini tube Slampegg feeding a Space Heater and on down the chain. I need some clean gain to bridge the Slampegg up to a level where it balances with the PA x. The PA x seems to open up when driven a little harder and of course it just buries the mini tube unit.
Alternatively - I buy a Slampegg X and forgo the SH...
My basic chain sees a Partical Accellerator into 1 side of a Radial switcher, the Slampegg into the other side. 1 bass per preamp... Radial switcher to comp, to HX Stomp. Future Impact in the efx loop, straight to the board.
I have a finally for the January build cycle so eventually, Stomp to Finally to board...

My wife insisted that I film the drawing process so I could prove that it was fair and unbiased. I don't feel the need to post it as it's a rather boring 6 minutes, but it's available if anyone feels like it's necessary.
Drawing is done, lining up names with numbers now. I'll draft an official sounding form email to send out to the people whose names were drawn and get that out in an hour or so.
