JJ/Tesla comes from Slovakia, I checked with my distributor and there hasn't been any change in pricing or availability.
Hoping to get April open soon, I'm just going to start with the HW pedals that are ready to go now rather than take a chance on any that might be ready.
Yeah I've always preferred LEDs behind the tube, and putting it on the panel didn't make anything any easier for me, which was the end goal. So I doubt that will show up on any production pedals
That's good news. Slovakia has been a NATO member since 2004, so a Russian incursion there would probably set off WWIII (and there'd be no one to save with the world in a grave).
I was more distracted by the toggle underneath the gain control. What does that toggle do?
At any given time I tend to have 2-3 pending circuit board orders, so they often show up unexpectedly. The new boards for my new DI transformer mount idea came today. Should make Finally a little easier to put together. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the logo is exposed metal instead of printing, so it's super shiny.
Two things: my Smoke Signal went from Los Angeles to West Dundee, received the UA mod, and back to Los Angeles in exactly one week.
The UA mod is worth the effort. Did nothing to diminish what I loved about the V1, simply feels like it expanded the range of the Blue channel EQ and output. I love the Blue channel clean, or with the gain set, literally anywhere. @Sushi Box FX will this mod become the new stock version of the Smoke Signal?

Yes, it absolutely will. I have the Smoke Signal II boards on my bench waiting to be verified but they haven't gone through the hoops yet so I'm planning to hold onto them until the May batch, Smoke Signal won't be available for April.
I kept the UA as the clean channel and revoiced the dirt channel, fixed an odd design choice from the original that always bothered me, and got rid of the MOSFET output buffer in favor of a tube output buffer. This will be the setup for both the SMD and handwired versions of Smoke Signal going forward, I will no longer be offering the version based on the Verellen design.
On a somewhat related note I'm working on getting April ordering opened up this weekend. I'm planning on 40 builds but I'm limiting handwired builds to a maximum of 20 so I can see what the workload will look like and make sure the time required isn't overwhelming.
Secret Society Exclusive Information: HW Lab Rat and HW Slampegg are already available for ordering, so if you were planning on getting one of those, you can do it now. HW SH is the only other one I plan to have available this month, but the rest should be good to go next month.
All available models are now open for April ordering. If you have any questions I may not be able to get to them until tomorrow as my accountant has been after me for a while to get my taxes done so that needs to finally happen, but I promise I'm not ignoring anyone and I will get to everyone.
Afternoon fellas, dropping a line in here in case anyone wants to sell or trade their Deep Dish comp - would love to get my hands on one, esp in black or white!
Still on my workbench, I want to make sure I put it through its paces thoroughly before releasing. HWUA and HW Finally are on v3 of their boards and they look promising, but I will be erring on the side of caution. Same thing with HWDW. HWBE I have not been able to make work, and since I'm probably the only one passionately wanting one I haven't made it a priority to revise that one.
Both the new SMD version and HW version of Smoke Signal are on my bench waiting to be put together and verified. They will happen sometime this month, but I don't plan to have them available until May.

I’m thinking I’ll have to hold out until the May batch. Smoke Signal with the mods above are really causing GAS pains.
Finally! I just ordered a Finally. I think it will work really well on my pedal board as a clean, tubey signal path together with my amp sim path, and colour it as well!
