I'm assuming my secret society lab rat is the new version. Can confirm it's an amazingly versatile pedal that blows me away with the low gain clean tones. You wanna boost to your harmonics? This is the way.

Since it has two tubes, might be interesting to see what a series/parallel switch sounds like.
So… 12v or 9v single power supply for the More? Not on a board, just to be used as a tube buffer/input sweetener for a piezo upright pickup.
Yup, either 9V or 12V, doesn't matter. Just need to have a bare minimum 500mA of current on tap, I would recommend at least 600mA. Can't go wrong with a OneSpot (still not affiliated, but they know how to get a hold of me).
I'm using the Underground Accelerator with the Yamahiko pickup on my double bass and it sounds pretty stinking amazing. I'd love to see what you think of the More when combined with the DB.

But DANG!! that Rainbows end is smokin'!! Now I'm second guessing my choice. Oh well, I do Have a Finally in Ranbows end coming too

I’m curious too! I borrowed a Sarno Black Box for a bit and the tube definitely helps with the piezo (in my case a Realist.) I figure 2 tubes are better than one and the form factor is better.
I would assume the UA might be able to run as your only pre considering how hot Yamahiko is.
That's pretty much the exactly how I do it. I go from the DB to the UA to the Straight Ahead Power Amp (or the EA Classic depending on the gig).
You're correct that the Yamahiko is pretty hot. Well, maybe brighter is a better term? Before I had a Realist before (now on my ply bass) and it needed a little more oomph than the Yamahiko. I've got the two piezo system and it's taking some getting used to because it brings out so much. My signal chain is so clean now that any tiny mistake I make is amplified x1,000,000. The bass and I have a sort of love/hate relationship right now, but we're working things out. The UA actually helps that a little bit, I'm thinking I 'm getting a slight bit of beneficial compression but not enough to make me dislike it in any way.
