Mmkay, let's get shipping. If you're looking close you'll see that serial 2210-10 (order 1596 if you're wondering if it's you) is missing, that's the HWUA that's waiting on troubleshooting. There's no output at all, which is typically easier to troubleshoot than when they work but sound wrong, so hopefully I'll have that shipped tomorrow.

And frankly if I can get it in the next hour it will still go to the post office at the same time as the rest, but also I'm working from home today so as long as I get it done today before the post office closes it will go in the mail today even if it gets dropped off separately (I live 0.3 miles from the post office).

Due to unforeseen circumstances some of the velvet bags I typically use for pedal packaging had to be burned. As a result some of the October pedals will be shipped in cotton bags instead of velvet. I apologize for the inconvenience.

What is everybody's opinion on those bags?

I've seen quite a few of those. Some were super fancy, from fine materials with prints that made them look even better. I think I repurposed a Walrus Audio bag once.
UNLESS the bags are so super nice that you want to use them for something, these are the bags the pedal comes in. Those of us that buy and sell regularly will want to stash away the original box with all the case candy for the point where that pedal gets sold.

For me, it's just one more item to put into my container of pedal boxes, to be dug out should I decide to sell the Sushi Box.

Therefore, I'd actually prefer if Mr. Sushi shipped the Sushi Box without it, saved a few cents per Sushi Box sold and can treat Mrs Sushi to a fancy dinner from time to time.

Different strokes I actually do re-use and appreciate the soft bags. Although I have 3 small boards, I always have a few loose pedals that are either orphans hoping to find a forever board, or single units that I keep separate for when I only wanna bring 1 or 2 pedals.....I keep those in the plush bags within a larger case and the bags protect their finish and add a little bit of padding as well, so they don't ding each other within the case. I also don't keep much packaging with an eye to resale...if I did I would need a warehouse for empty packing material. I never buy intending to sell, and if/when I do.....it is what it is

Yeah that was the plan, if it's not ready by the time I open ordering then it will wait for the next month. I'm shooting for SBVT II, Glass Butterfly, and Echosaurus Valve all in December. It's going to be an eventful month.

I use the velvet ditty bags for pedal storage on the go and for gift bags. I use one on my Ibanez UB804 stand to keep rosin and spare batteries handy.

I just came back from band practice, and I need to ask:
What pedal gets me closest to the sound of the HWUA when overdriven, but is capable of pushing the mids a little? I've learned that I'm quite picky when it comes to overdrive characteristics when I chewed myself through dozens of them on a recent bender. And the HWUA is just perfect. The way it reacts, the huge dynamic range, the growling low notes and the singing high notes . . . It's just that the Alembic tonestack does not really give you the option to get a little mid hump to make up for what you lose when you overdrive.

Looks great dude! Firefly? Glad you found musical power supplies, they quickly became one of my go-to transformer suppliers, hard to beat their quality at anything close to their price. Really great stuff, I highly recommend them for any amp-builders or aspiring amp-builders out there (not affiliated, just impressed)

Well it’s alive and I’m still alive!

Last of the thread drift for this I promise. I’m only included it here because the Space Heater rekindled my desire to try and build a tube amp.
Unfortunately the MPS transformer wasn’t working, so I swapped it out for a Hammond 125A… but I’ll Troubleshoot the OT55P or buy another one because I want the extra extra that it offers.

An interesting little amp that was fun to build… can’t wait to make the head enclosure. I’m pretty sure my guitarist is gonna steal it when he sees it. He likes gigging with low power tube amps so he can get the breakup without the crazy volume levels.

I don't mind it as a case liner but for anything my skin will touch often I am also not a fan of velvet it just makes my skin crawl not sure why the texture bothers me so bad as I love the way it looks
