The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

I'm working on a youtube collaboration project for an Alter Bridge cover band. It's a modern hard rock band for those who aren't familiar. I was given the bass part on one of the upcoming videos, and I did some samples tonight using my Dr Wattson. This has got to be one of the few preamps with drive that actually sounds good with an active bass. Usually it just gets fizzy and thin, but this sounds SO GOOD. Once the full cover is up, I'll post it so you can hear it in a mix, but that may be a month or so.

This is recorded with a Warwick Thumb 5

I feel compelled to say that I’m thoroughly enjoying watching the website go through its changes.
Great job @Sushi Box FX and @Sonicblaze . It’s fun to see.
Thanks! Good to know people actually notice :) think I'm in it most days tweaking or aligning something; just added the 'no tube' option today for the X series if anyone was waiting for that.

And the more I can do tech-side, the more Nathan gets to focus on cool pedals and designs :bassist:

@Sonicblaze you’re doing a GREAT job on the site. It’s definitely noticed. Should have said something before. Big improvement and the improvements continue. I’ve been frequenting the site for a few months and it’s better than ever. Keep it up!

I think we all just didn’t say anything because we assumed it was understood. Great work :)

Thank you so much for doing that. For me at least, the website was overwhelming and a hurtle to actually looking further into each pedal, to say nothing of actually making a purchase. Your improvements made me subscribe to this thread since it now felt accessible

Hurtle: This is what happens when you misjudge the hurdle. :smug:

No tube option... Are people crazy?

Great job on the site nonetheless!

It is 100% @Sonicblaze doing the work. I have a website because I need to have a website, not because I enjoy or have any talent at making websites. But I completely agree, he is consistently knocking it out of the park!

Duh... I thought of it as a no tube version of each pedal. Lol.

Is there a difference in price?
Yup, you can save $20 if you get an X Series with no tube. I'll still plug a tube in to test it, I'll just pull it out before shipping.

Is there a specific tube you prefer over a JJ in your X series since I know you are a fellow tube roller?

For the website, I'm sure n the end we'll achieve full 'custom shop' functionality so that we can 'see' all the combos we dream of :)

The pedal appearance I chose only exists in my head so I have to keep imagining what it will look like!

Shhhh....thats my v2.0 idea :D already talking about how to make it happen, but that one might be a bit further out.
Speaking of though, would you be OK with a fake-pedal: i.e. a random 3hole enclosure but showing your color+knob+LED combo. So not necessarily the EXACT pedal you'll be getting since all the layouts are different, but you'd get to basically see your color combo as itd be.

I say of course. Anything would help even if it’s not the same pedal. There are endless possibilities and it’s so difficult to picture it in your head.
