Got it. Definitely works for me. The more knobs and switches there are the more likely I am to feel like I am doing something wrong LOL

Same My personal amp has 4 knobs, and my favorite pedal has 3, but I can get all the tones I want. All these newfangled digital things the kids are into just freak me out. I don't need control of "Lower-left corner of the room's reverb reflection's even order harmonics," I just need a knob that says "Reverb."

Yeah, Reverb searches and Feed Results are weird, and pretty iffy at best.

I have Reverb setup so it’s “supposed” to show anything with Iron Ether, Broughton, Sushi Box, COG and several others in the listing in my feed.

It seems to work consistently for some, and maybe 1 time out of 3 for others.

Broughton and Iron Ether are especially iffy.

I go in and manually search, and get results with the same keywords setup in my feed, and find all kinds of things that never show up there.

I’ve also seen different feed results at the same time from a Windows PC Chrone browser, and a iPhone Safari browser...

I have no idea how a simple keyword search on that large of a website could be so borked up.

None of the feed notifications I have set up on Reverb has ever worked.

Interesting. I use the ultra hi and bright as always on. The ultra lo I don’t touch. I haven’t been able to replicate the sound I prefer without the switches. The bright switch definitely doesn’t do much but the ultra hi switch is great.

I’m the opposite (at least with my SV-Pre and all the real Ampegs I’ve used, I can’t say I’ve played a Slampeg yet) - I always leave the Ultra Lo on but I never use the Ultra Hi. Either way though I’d much prefer a model with those switches included, that might be the thing that makes me keep my order a mini-tube model instead of the X.

Huh, good to know. So aside from the subtelty (by my ears) of the effect of the switches, I also left them off for the layout's sake, there is no way I would be able to fit them in this layout. Looking at the board I could probably fit one switch in there, but definitely not three. I could probably add a mod option for an ultr hi or ultr low switch and you can choose one or the other, but there's no way I could fit both.

I just changed my mind. This is a v0 board, the v1 board will have ultra hi AND ultra low switches.

I hate being told something is impossible, and I just found out I hate it even more when I'm telling myself something is impossible I'll get the new layout updated and get updated boards ordered for December. There was a change I wanted to make to Lab Rat X anyway, may as well make an update to Slampegg X.

I occasionally use the ultra hi on my SVT. The ultra lo on the SVT and SV-Pre rarely get used. I know others who swear by it though.

No worries. I'm sure it will sound just fine and I understand there's just not room for them. That leads me to another question though. My Lab Rat has a clipping switch on it. Will the Lab Rat X be able to house a clipping switch?

Edit: I just read your post above. That seals the deal for me on the Slampegg X if you're able to fit those two switches.

FWIW, on my old SVT 3PRO and 2PRO I loved the Bright switch, but never touched the ultra lo or ultra hi.

Yup, that's the mod I want to add to it. I meant to do it on the v0 and forgot, so it's going on the v1.

To my ears it helped add some bite and definition, but without the midrange scoop of the Ultra switches.
Also, for context, these days I'm about a million miles away from the tones I used to use when I had those amps. So all this with a "devil's advocate" grain of salt.

Me as well. Glad I wasn't the only one!

I know this is totally off topic, but... I've always wanted to own an actual B-15, but I feel like they're quite high maintenance. I already have a pair of PF115 cabs with a PF500, so a PF-50T is on my list for a "modern man's B-15." Something in general the ballpark of a B-15 but with more options and less problems.

But with most gigs going to IEMs, I went with the Slampegg... Looking forward to checking it out when the November builds are done.
