The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Im just spitballin’ here… but if he wants to make a really cool DB centric pedal that offers me something amazing that no one else does… who am I to stop him?
That wasn't my direct intention, though it may be something that happens eventually. I would have to find a pretty slamming deal on an upright to make it worth my while though I think. Until then I can lean on people in the community that already have them around.

How are December's shipments going?
I'm super close. I was waiting on circuit boards for HWUA, HW Slampegg, HWLR, and Glass Butterfly, all of which arrived yesterday. I was also waiting on transformers for Finally, which arrived today.
  • All Slampeggs are soldered up, boxed and tested. They just need knobs and LEDs, then they're ready to go.
  • All Lab Rats are soldered up, boxed and tested. They just need knobs and LEDs, then they're ready to go.
  • All Glass Butterflies are soldered up, boxed and tested. They just need knobs and LEDs, then they're ready to go.
  • All Finallys are soldered and boxed up, and the 1/4" outputs have been tested. They just need transformers and XLR outputs to be tested, then they're ready to go.
  • One HWUA has been boxed up and tested to verify the new board layout, I still need to put together two more boards.
I'm going to do as much as I can tonight without killing myself, obviously the post office is closed tomorrow anyway. So whatever I can't finish tonight will get finished tomorrow night, and I should be on track to get everything out by Monday.

Mmkay, I have to stop for the night now. I have band practice tomorrow and I forgot there's a new song I still haven't learned, so I need to get on that. All HW Slampeggs, HW Lab Rats, and Glass Butterflies are now fully ready to go. The HWUA boards have been assembled and just need to be put into the enclosures. The Finallys have transformers installed and just need the XLR outputs tested.

And then I can rest for the holidays :P

the finally will be very useful for me.. and the LPF before everything may well be the best way.
i’m 80% upright and i also play a ‘63 fender bass.

Which one is it? First or last...

It can be either. I like the HPF last so that the full signal of my instrument goes through all the pedals and tone shaping. Then, at they very end I use the HPF to limit the low frequencies. The amount and frequencies limited can depend on the amp/cab you are playing through, or the room or the other instruments you are playing with or ... So whatever works for you I say.

A ? for the sushi hive mind: I will be shaking up my boards, and am wondering if my 1 Spot block power supply will work if I run a dual tube Sushi box (More or Glass Butterfly that needs about 500mA after warmup) off the 500 mA feed and a single tube box off of one of the 300 mA feeds. I realize they will be slow to warm up, but am wondering if they will perform to spec?? I will not be buying a 2nd CIOKS 7 supply, so the 2nd board has to run off the 1-Spot.
