Seriously though, I was just getting shipping labels for the ones I finished tonight, I'm going to bed now. How well I sleep is inversely proportional to the amount of unfinished work I have and directly proportional to the number of pedals I've completed and have ready for shipping
Oh man...I can't wait to see pics of this new batch of pedals...especially mine! Actually, I can absolutely wait...sounds like they're shipping soon so I'm happy to just be surprised when I open the box! Peace...

Hoping to get a shipping notification fir my November build soon. Trouble is , this time of year, who knows what is coming to the house !!!
Well and as a confession, it may have been two or three different builds throughout. I don't usually do just one at a time start to finish like the video implies, I do several of them all at once so the whole batch moves at about the same pace, and I didn't really have one set aside as "the one" for the video, it was just whichever Slampegg I happened to grab.
So yours could very well have been in there
And fun tidbit of information, I have pedals going to Washington, Colorado, Florida, New York, and Ontario (Canada) today. Plenty more to come tonight.

I mean what could go wrong with owing $30k+ of merchandise to customers over the next 6 months in the middle of a pandemic and the worse economy that any of us will ever remember? I am sure that all the cases of small builders falling into absurd amount of troubles with the forum due to that same business model were due to all those guys having bad intentions at the start.

I'm at 431 miles, here's a great easy straight-line site: Distance Between 2 Addresses, Cities or Zipcodes. (They come from Chicago, IL)
Yup, that required a solid plan on my end. I keep a separate account with enough money to cover all the paid-for builds in it. I have a very lucrative day job so this has never been about the money, but I have to be careful with the money so I can continue to afford to do this.

So I wanted to touch on a question a few pages ago, the robustness of the UV prints. So right now I have two UV printed boxes, one that was printed over the powdercoat and one that was printed straight onto the metal.
It looks like the ink doesn't bond very well with the metal, and I can easily scratch it off with my fingernail. I'm going to strip the whole think down and powdercoat it then re-print. The machine actually came with a "metal bonding agent" that I can mix with the inks to supposedly make them bond better, but I don't want to have to do that.
The ink bonds much better with the powdercoat, and on the powdercoated box I can't even scratch it off. I'm sure sandpaper would scratch it up, but I don't anticipate many people are frequently hitting their pedals with sandpaper during regular use.

So this is something I've wanted to do for a while and finally got around to finishing it. I've had a lot of people ask me specifically how certain steps of my build process are done, or more just generally how I build pedals the way I do. Well to answer those questions I decided to film every step of the build process for one of the November Slampegg builds and speed it up to a watchable length of 6 minutes (the regular speed video is about 2 hours, nobody wants to watch that).
Oh and I decided it needed background music but I didn't want to deal with copyright stuff so I put in an original song without the vocals and looped it
Finally got around to watching this.
I like being able to see what goes into a product I'm buying or considering buying.
I saw the "UV/Laser Engraving" posts multiple times, but never really thought about it. After seeing a housing being engraved, I appreciate the thought and craftsmanship that goes into these pedals.

I have the laser set up well enough that I can hit the button and walk away, but I still stay most of the time just because it's neat to watch The UV printer gives a lot better results and works a lot faster though, super excited to get that going next month.
Plus all the fumes off the laser are pretty fun to... wait, like, what was I saying?Thanks
