Powering 2 different boards with their own individual power supplies. Not on the board with the DC-7.

I just got a c8e extension for my dc7 purely for current-doubling for the Sushi pedals coming
What power cable do you use to run a 4 on it’s own without coming out of the DC-7? I wanna make a mini board with my 4 and upgrade it to an 8 on my main board.
@scubaduba got some info from Cioks a while back and posted it. I can't for the life of me remember which thread. He had some extra info on thr Cioks 4 emailed to him directly I believe.
Cioks are now selling a version of the Cioks 4 that has it's own power supply, but I purchased mine before this version existed.
The Cioks 4 needs 36 Watts to run at 100% of it's capacity. To calculate Watts, you multiply Volts by Amps. I purchased a 24VDC x 1.5A power supply and I plug that directly into the Cioks 4. I hope that helps. Let me know if you need more info.
I just ordered a DC-7 demo model for $169. Buy once, cry once, I guess. But I'm crying right now.

A good power supply is like insurance. Sure you can get my with something cheap, but once something bad happens (like a cheap supply shorting out/sending wrong voltage, which you can find horror stories of pedals destroyed), you'll wish you had bought the good stuff from the start.
Congrats on a killer deal, and just think of how many more pedals you can buy now that you have moar power
don't forget the c4e or c8e expansion is possible once you fill this box out 
It may have been one of my posts, I asked the same question a month or so ago, the 4A option (you can find it on Sweetwater) is self-powered vs. the 4 which gets powered by the C7.
I wanted the C4A but the space taken from the extra power supply box made sense to go with the C7. If I already had a C7 I'd get a C4. Now that I have a C7 I might get a C4 if I get a side board.
The power supply Cioks is supplying for the Cioks 4 is like a laptop style is it? Wow ok. Wasn't aware. The power supply I got is a 1 spot/wallwart style.

Exactly. Though I couldn't find it again just now on Sweetwater.
I have a power block on my board which has AC out which I figured may as well use it for a C7, I figured that would be lighter than the C4A and the board is already pretty heavy.

Yeah not ideal. I had a Strymon Ojai at one point, and having the laptop style is a nightmare. Cioks DC-7 with integrated power supply is a winner, but if Cioks are sending a latop style supply with the Cioks 4A, I'd be getting a 4E and sourcing a wallwart. IMO YMMV etc

Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
So, missed out on a pedal that shall remain nameless from another builder that shall remain nameless tonight. To uncrush my dreams I snagged an April slot for another sushi box pedal. Feel better already..

So this is something I've wanted to do for a while and finally got around to finishing it. I've had a lot of people ask me specifically how certain steps of my build process are done, or more just generally how I build pedals the way I do. Well to answer those questions I decided to film every step of the build process for one of the November Slampegg builds and speed it up to a watchable length of 6 minutes (the regular speed video is about 2 hours, nobody wants to watch that).
Oh and I decided it needed background music but I didn't want to deal with copyright stuff so I put in an original song without the vocals and looped it
I think my comments about the laptop style supply are etched in my brain from my early home made pedal board days when I lacked space under my boards. These days with what I am making more resembles a PT board, so it's probably irrelevant.
