The Sushi Box FX Secret Society

Quick question for those of you that have December orders: I've been planning to stop using the laser for artwork and start using the UV printer for all builds starting January, would anyone be terribly upset if I started it in December instead? I'm getting tired of all the work that comes with lasering, UV printing is a lot less hassle :p

No issue here.

I’m down for UV Printing on my December Lab Rat, if it’s easier!

Awesome, I would love to switch right over to UV. The laser gave me some trouble this month, and the UV printer is more reliable and easier to fix mistakes.

As a quick November update, thanksgiving plans and my day job have slowed me down a little, as did the X series and Deep Dish work, but I am still planning to be done before the end of the month. Currently everything has been engraved (except for a couple that the laser messed up that need to be re-done). Currently all boards have been soldered up and just need their tubes installed (2-3 minutes per pedal) and final assembly (20-30 minutes per pedal). I'm taking tonight off but I'll be back into it tomorrow and am going to try to have everything done by Saturday.

As a side note, I've always loved the look of the Edison, so I totally want it. Not to reverse engineer or anything, I've just always thought they were neat :)

It was easily the best looking pedal on my board at the time and sounded great. If it was normal size with top jacks, I’d have kept it. But I have some other stuff coming that’ll ease the pain. ;):smug:

Yeah, and I've opened it and they definitely could have tweaked that to be friendlier; there's a lot of wasted space in there.
I still love it so far, but I fully expect one of the SB pedals I have on the way kick it off my board.

I'll be curious about your comparisons and which takes the place of the Night Owl. I've wanted one for a long time, but have a Slampegg in November builds and a spot for March.

As you should. It's Thanksgiving. Enjoy some time with your family. :)

Never swapped tubes from a pedal before. But forgot my father in law fixes old tube radios.
