possibly a stupid question, but does the Finally DI have an input buffer...?
i'll be running some other pedals into it, as well as some instruments with piezo pickups, so wondering how they will all comingle...

Buffers are generally needed for instruments not pedal to pedal output.
If you are playing active pickups or an instrument with a preamp, you don’t need a buffer. Most piezo instruments use an active preamp, negating the need for a buffer. If you are playing a passive, with long input cables, you can use a buffer on the input of your pedal chain. The Peterson strobostomp has an excellent built in switchable buffer and the TC bonified buffer is cheap and very popular.

I have. And I ended up circling back to 12ax7, even though I don't use the SH for high gain. I found the ax7 gave me the harmonic content I was looking for without the compression and low mid bump, whereas both au7 and at7 had loss of dynamics and clarity by the time I got my harmonic needs from them. As well, the latter two needed downstream eq massaging. More so for the au7.

Im running broadcast clone > jptr jive(18v) > UA and I couldn't be happier. I wanna try a scorpion but don't wanna deal with another eq to set, already got broughton parametric equalizer and L+H filter for my shaping needs. Has anyone tried broadcast or jive agaisnt a scorpion? Obviously into a UA..

'Tis indeed a thing of beauty! I also have a Wampler Belle running before the Scorpion, and all three together? Hoooo mama.

Every conceivable level of drive I could possibly require for my bands is completely covered by this setup. I don't use fuzz, but diming the depth and gain on the Scorpion, with all three pedals on, gets me near enough that I'm satisfied.

Got the first few units put together to send out to @TonyP- and friends, and working on figuring out how to scale up for full production. I was initially trying not to do preordering, but it's looking like it may be the way to go. I may need to reevaluate the price as it took more hands-on time to assemble these units than I originally planned, but at least for now I plan to proceed with the price of $500. More details on the preorder to come very very soon.

I may be wrong, but I'm guessing the label is the least of the issues for assembly. I'm surprised his prices are as low as they are.

Sushi - if you need to increase, I'm sure we'll understand. Sure those of us who are cheap may grumble, but we get that it's a business not a charity. I'd rather you increase your price and stay in business than get burnt out and stop.

Agree. My point was that an unfinished box for 500 would leave room for a price "adjustment" . That said, I don't plan on pulling the trigger on one of these in the foreseeable future; I'm merely an interested gawker

Yeah I'm in that boat at the moment too. Pressures of the economy and all. The upside is it gives me plenty of time to fully assess what I need before purchase....

As am I, too. I'm (still) holding out for Furthermore, though, which I expect will sell for about the same money.

Seems like a reasonable plan. It wouldn't go up a lot, maybe $20 or so, there are a just a couple things I overlooked when doing my estimate that need to be accounted for.

i think a strobostomp may be landing on my board soon, as it would definitely be useful to have a good quality tuner on board, instead of my clip-on tuners. and the addition of a buffer will help since i will play both a active and passive through this particular chain.

Not sure who else does this but I run my tuner in buffer mode after the Slampegg. That way the switch is totally silent and the Slampegg input impedence is what the pickup sees.

You will enjoy having the Strobostomp on the board. It helps the whole board. And I never thought tuning made a huge difference. Just get a clip on or cheap pedal tuner and you’re good. I thought I was until the Strobo. Do the sweet bass tune and you will be amazed the difference.
